Tom Walker isn’t here to serve syrup. On the contrary, the singer-songwriter made his name – and earned his Number One album, and won his Brit – for the candour in his craft. 

 That scorching emotional honesty, embodied in his plumbed-from-the-soulful-depths vocals, superpowered the Manchester-raised Scotsman’s 2017 single Leave A Light On. The song’s phenomenally long-tail international success took the artist on tour all round the world, and all the way to Best Breakthrough Act at the 2019 Brit Awards.  

And that success, in turn, rolled onto that year’s chart-topping debut album, What A Time To Be Alive.
