MBC was born on November 1, 2000. Within six months it became one of the country’s top music PR firms. The company was founded by joint directors Moira Bellas and Barbara Charone.

The current client roster includes: Madonna, Mark Ronson, Foo Fighters,

Jake Bugg, Keith Richards, Rod Stewart, Dido, Tom Walker, Jack Savoretti, Olly Murs, Paloma Faith, Metallica, Imagine Dragons, Kasabian, Depeche Mode, Rag’n’Bone Man, Pearl Jam, Tom Chaplin, Ray Davies, Simply Red, Robert Plant, Elvis Costello, Rufus Wainwright, The Divine Comedy, OMD and Cage the Elephant.

Both Bellas and Charone are among the most respected women working in the music business and between them have worked with just about everyone that is anyone. In November 2001, they were honoured as Women of the Year by Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and The Brit Trust and in 2006 & 2009 won the coveted Music Week PR Award.

Moira Bellas left WEA Records September 1, 2000 after working for the company for over 25 years. She started in the press office before becoming Director of Publicity, later moving into A&R before becoming Managing Director in the early 90’s.

Barbara Charone worked as a music journalist for Rolling Stone, NME and Sounds before writing Keith Richards authorised biography. She worked at WEA for 19 years first as staff writer, then as a publicist and later as Director of Publicity.
