Plays Isle of Wight, Mad Cool, Rock Werchter, Kendal Calling, Y Not & Tramlines Festival This Summer New Album ‘Coup De Grace’ Out NOW

Listen to the track HERE

Following his storming sell-out UK tour last year, culminating with a show at London’s Brixton Academy, Miles Kane returns with a remix from Grammy nominated duo CamelPhat for live favourite ‘Coup De Grace’.

The track is a huge electro floor filler, with Miles’ infectious guitar riffs and CamelPhat’s (who have previously remixed Fatboy Slim, Kidnap Kid and Paul Woolford) signature house sound. Speaking of the collaboration Miles said “I’ve had the pleasure of working with these two lovely fellas, it was a blast. They are very talented chaps indeed!” he continues “I always thought ‘Coup de Grace’ had a dance feel to it and live it’s become an anthem. I wondered what it would be like if we did a remix and put it in Camelphat’s world. So that’s what we did, and they smashed it out of the park”.

Miles and his band play a host of summer shows and festivals this summer including a headline date at Glasgow’s SWG3 and slots at Isle of Wight Festival, Mad Cool Festival, Rock Werchter, Tramlines, Y Not Festival, and Kendal Calling, as well as huge shows supporting Paul Weller at Cardiff Castle and Arctic Monkeys at Foro Sol in Mexico.

‘Dumb Blonde’ New Album ‘Head Above Water’ Out Feb 15th

Eight-time Grammy nominee and global recording superstar Avril Lavigne has released her new track “Dumb Blonde” featuring Nicki Minaj, via BMG Records. The track is available across all DSPs here. The single gives fans another glimpse into her forthcoming album, being released this Friday, February 15.

Listen to “Dumb Blonde”: here

The release comes after Lavigne teased the song on her Twitter last week, describing it as a song that reminds you to “never let anyone put you down for being who you are. Stand up. Fight. Be you.”

Lavigne is gearing up for an exciting album launch week with upcoming performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on February 13, Good Morning America on February 15, and LIVE! With Kelly and Ryan on February 18. The singer has been getting fans excited for the album’s imminent release by teasing a couple tracks each day leading up to the album release date.

The sassy track follows the release of first single, “Head Above Water”- a self-written anthem about overcoming her lyme disease that has earned over 165 million streams so far – and “Tell Me It’s Over”- a track about finally leaving a tumultuous relationship. Both tracks were met with praise from fans and critics alike. Vogue Magazine described “Head Above Water” as “a fierce piano ballad that documents a culminating moment in Lavigne’s years-long struggle with Lyme disease” and on “Tell Me It’s Over”, TIME Magazine says she “has never sounded stronger, or more confident.”

Release New Single ‘If You Don’t Love Me’ through Thirty Tigers Play Omeara 13th March

“Sonically, there are very few bands that can display such raw talent as Ida Mae did in this set…(they) were completely untouchable.” – Impact Nottingham

“Ida Mae simply win you over.” – Tap The Feed

“Sometimes you see a band live for the first time and it completely hits the spot. This was one such occasion.” – Leeds Living

Fresh back from two months touring in the States and with the announcement of their first UK tour in March, husband and wife duo, Ida Mae, (Chris Turpin and Stephanie Jean) release their new single ‘If You Don’t Love Me’ through Thirty Tigers today.

Listen to ‘If You Don’t Love Me’ HERE

Ida Mae’s magic lies in the sensuous dovetailing of two voices and the intimacy of their songs. Chris’ vocals are reminiscent of a Face’s era Rod Stewart or Steve Marriott, while Stephanie combines the delicacy of Patty Griffin with the effortless rock-chic of Alison Mosshart. Singing together, the couple have an unusual ‘which-is-which’ dynamic.

After finding critical acclaim with Kill It Kid, touring the world as newlyweds and working closely with legendary A&R man Seymour Stein, Chris and Stephanie have recently finished recording their debut album with acclaimed producer and friend Ethan Johns (Ryan Adams / Ray Lamontagne / Kings Of Leon / Laura Marling) which is set to be released in early Summer of 2019 through Thirty Tigers.

Touring highlights as Ida Mae include support slots with The Lone Bellow, Nick Mulvey, Nikki Lane, The Marcus King Band, Will Varley and Greta Van Fleet. They have also played Emmylou Harris’s Woofstock Festival & Kings Of Leon’s Harvest Night in Nashville. Ida Mae play the following UK & Ireland dates:

January 2019
Thu 24th                        GLASGOW, Celtic Connections @ Hug and Pint
March 2019
Sat 9th                          BRISTOL, The Louisiana
Mon 11th                       MANCHESTER, Eagle Inn
Tues 12th                      NORWICH, Norwich Arts Centre
Wed 13th                      LONDON, Omeara

Starting off simply with Chris’ sweet vocals accompanied on guitar, ‘If You Don’t Love Me’ gradually builds into a crescendo of pure bliss. Stephanie’s vocals beautifully weave over the top of Chris’ falsetto resulting in a balanced, humble sound.

“This is one of the first songs we wrote for the record,” the duo said of the new single. “Ethan encouraged us to perform very intimate vocal takes, everyone playing live side by side in the same room late at night. ‘If You Don’t Love Me’ embodies the simplicity and honesty of the record as a whole. We worked to marry uncommon sonic textures on the record, spanning the decades of our influences. This can be heard in the organic sound of my 1930s National Duolian steel guitar and a 1980s digital auto harp.”

Tickets for their European and UK tour are on sale now.

Announce ‘Social Cues’ Fifth Studio Album Out April 19th Via Columbia Records Directed by Matt Shultz

Cage The Elephant have announced the release of their fifth studio album, Social Cues, out April 19th via Columbia Records.

Produced by John Hill (Santigold, Florence + The Machine, Portugal. The Man, tUnE-yArDs), the album was recorded at Battle Tapes Recording, Blackbird Studio and Sound Emporium in Nashville and The Village Recording Studio in Los Angeles, mixed by Tom Elmhirst and mastered by Randy Merrill in New York City. Social Cues is the follow up to their GRAMMY®-winning studio album Tell Me I’m Pretty. The album is available for pre-order today.

Today the band also share the first single from the forthcoming record, the deceptively upbeat “Ready To Let Go” with a video directed by lead singer Matt Shultz. Cage The Elephant have had 7 Billboard #1 singles with 11 singles landing in the Billboard Top 10 and digitally have a combined 1.5 billion streams worldwide.

WATCH THE VIDEO HERE

The majority of the material on Social Cues was written during the unravelling of Shultz’s relationship. In order make sense of such a difficult experience, he explored the hidden recesses of his psyche, creating characters to tell different parts of his personal story. He explains, “it can be a vehicle to act out things that are hard to confront.” He went on to say, “when I’m creating, I try to put myself in a reactive state of improvisational thought. I let images just arise in my mind and wait for it to evoke an emotional response and then when it does, I know I’m on to something. I was watching a lot of Fassbinder films, like World on a Wire and The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant. I was thinking about their beauty coupled with the graphic surrealism of Aronofsky.”

Deeply inspired by punk music, brothers Matt and Brad Shultz began playing music in high-school with fellow students Jared Champion and Daniel Tichenor. Shortly after forming the band, they made the bold move to London to begin their career. Their self-titled debut album gained them international attention, catapulting them up the Billboard Alternative and Rock charts and achieving Platinum certification. Cage the Elephant has released three additional studio albums – 2011’s Thank You, Happy Birthday, the Gold-certified Melophobia and the GRAMMY®-winning Tell Me I’m Pretty.

At radio, Cage The Elephant holds the record for the most #1 Alternative songs of any artist this decade. Their most recent release was their expansive live album, Unpeeled, which found the band performing stripped down and backed by a string quartet and a choir. Based in Nashville, Cage The Elephant is vocalist Matt Shultz, rhythm guitarist Brad Shultz, drummer Jared Champion, bassist Daniel Tichenor, lead guitarist Nick Bockrath and keyboardist Matthan Minster.

Cage The Elephant will headline Shaky Knees festival in Atlanta on May 4th. More 2019 dates, including the UK, will be announced soon.

Announces Killer UK Tour Debut Album ‘Prismism’ Out Now

“Encompassing ‘80s-steeped synth-pop, desert rock, electro-Strokes dynamism and melodic laptop experiments, The Killers guitarist’s solo venture is a triumph.”  – NME

A feel good selection of synth-heavy rock ‘n’ roll.” – Evening Standard

Keuning, founding member and guitarist from The Killers, is returning to the UK this March for an eight date UK tour. The run of dates follows the release of his enticing debut album ‘Prismism’ which came out on January 25th on Thirty Tigers.

Keuning plays the following UK dates. Tickets go on sale Friday 1st February at 10am:

March
Sun 24th  BELFAST, The Limelight 2
Mon 25th DUBLIN, Green Room at The Academy
Tues 26th GLASGOW, King Tuts Wah Wah Hut
Wed 27th NEWCASTLE, O2 Academy 2
Fri 29th  MANCHESTER, Gorilla
Sat 30th  BIRMINGHAM, O2 Academy 2

April
Mon 1st  BRISTOL, Thekla
Tues 2nd  LONDON, Garage

Keuning’s debut album, Prismism, is a collection of 14 tracks – with all the instruments, save some drum parts, played by Keuning himself – which, like the title says, sees things from all sides, focusing on details without missing the big picture. The album examines our basic relationships and interactions, with family, friends and co-workers, how one can feel trapped by their surroundings, as well as those that rely on them, emotionally and/or professionally. The album is inspired by the very thing that brought him here in the first place – the music.

Prismism: it’s all how you look at it and listen to it, but one thing’s certain: Keuning’s here to stay.

with acclaimed Academy Award winning director Sir Peter

London – January 30, 2019 – Apple Corps Ltd. and WingNut Films Ltd. are proud to announce an exciting new collaboration between The Beatles and the acclaimed Academy Award winning director Sir Peter Jackson. The new film will be based around 55 hours of never-released footage of The Beatles in the studio, shot between January 2nd and January 31st, 1969. These studio sessions produced The Beatles’ Grammy Award winning album Let It Be, with its Academy Award winning title song. The album was eventually released 18 months later in May 1970, several months after the band had broken up.

The filming was originally intended for a planned TV special, but organically turned into something completely different, climaxing with The Beatles’ legendary performance on the roof of Apple’s Savile Row London office — which took place exactly 50 years ago today.

Peter Jackson said, “The 55 hours of never-before-seen footage and 140 hours of audio made available to us, ensures this movie will be the ultimate ‘fly on the wall’ experience that Beatles fans have long dreamt about – it’s like a time machine transports us back to 1969, and we get to sit in the studio watching these four friends make great music together.”

Although The Beatles were filmed extensively during the 1960s – in concerts, interviews and movies – this is the only footage of any note that documents them at work in the studio.

The Let It Be album and movie, having been released in the months following The Beatles’ breakup, have often been viewed in the context of the struggle the band was going through at that time.

“I was relieved to discover the reality is very different to the myth,” continues Jackson, “After reviewing all the footage and audio that Michael Lindsay-Hogg shot 18 months before they broke up, it’s simply an amazing historical treasure-trove. Sure, there’s moments of drama – but none of the discord this project has long been associated with. Watching John, Paul, George, and Ringo work together, creating now-classic songs from scratch, is not only fascinating – it’s funny, uplifting and surprisingly intimate”.

“I’m thrilled and honoured to have been entrusted with this remarkable footage – making the movie will be a sheer joy.”

Jackson will be working with his They Shall Not Grow Old partners, Producer Clare Olssen and Editor Jabez Olssen. The footage will be restored by Park Road Post of Wellington, New Zealand, to a pristine standard, using techniques developed for the WW1 documentary film which has been nominated for a BAFTA for best documentary.

The untitled film is currently in production and the release date will be announced in due course. This film is being made with the full co-operation of Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono Lennon, and Olivia Harrison.

The Executive Producers are Ken Kamins for WingNut Films and Jeff Jones and Jonathan Clyde for Apple Corps.

Following the release of this new film, a restored version of the original Let It Be movie directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg will also be made available.
