Madonna announced today her eagerly anticipated new album Confessions ll is set for release on July 3rd via Warner Records.

The new album is the continuation of the iconic counterpart Confessions on a Dance Floor. Ahead of the lead single, Madonna unveils the first taste of music with a trancelike visual teaser. Watch HERE. Fans can pre-order the album + the ultimate curation of expansive vinyl, CDs and cassette offerings HERE.

Madonna sums up her new record best by quoting the first few lines of her song, ‘One Step Away, “People think that dance music is superficial, but they’ve got it all wrong. The dance floor is not just a place, it’s a threshold: A ritualistic space where movement replaces language.

Madonna adds “When Stuart Price and I first started working on this record, this was our manifesto”:

We must dance, celebrate, and pray with our bodies. These are things that we’ve been doing for thousands of years — they really are spiritual practices. After all, the dance floor is a ritualistic space. It’s a place where you connect

—with your wounds, with your fragility. To rave is an art. It’s about pushing your limits and

connecting to a community of like-minded people.

Sound, light, and vibration
Reshape our perceptions
Pulling us into a trance-like state.
The repetition of the bass, we don’t just hear it but we feel it.

Altering our consciousness and dissolving ego and time.

Tiny Habits Are Back!

New Single ‘Right In Front Of Me

Listen HERE // Watch HERE

Out Now on Mom+Pop

Everyone’s favourite trio, Tiny Habits, return with their gorgeous new song ‘Right In Front Of Me’, radiating the sound of summer in every note. The lead vocals soar while their trademark harmonies sing on this blue-sky gem. Listen to ‘Right In Front Of Me’ HERE & watch HERE.

With a backbeat that hints of Fleetwood Mac, Right In Front of Me is the first taste from their forthcoming sophomore album. Written by Cinya Khan and Judah Mayowa, arranged by Tiny Habits, and produced by Benjamin Millman, this new track promises much for the future.

The band explain their new song:

’Right in Front Of Me’ is about understanding sometimes the biggest thing holding you back, is you. The three of us have grown a lot together, watching each other through awkward moments. ‘Right in Front Of Me’ is the moment when you stop worrying about if you look too silly or too ‘gay’ and allow yourself to exist unfiltered and unrestrained.

’Right in Front of Me’ is the moment at the club or the party where your friends have made the dance circle we all know too well. People are jumping in, dancing and flailing about, and you just SWEAR you can’t get in the centre. But for some reason, the bravest version of you pushes you into the centre and gives it all you’ve got anyway. Realizing they’ll yell and cheer your name regardless. Realizing it’s not that fucking deep. Realizing that breaking through the fear is always worth the liberation. So just DANCE!

Tiny Habits are truly liberated. You can hear in their music.

Tiny Habits – Cinya Khan, Judah Mayowa, Maya Rae – formed while attending Berklee College of Music. Their first EP of original songs, Tiny Things, came out in April 2022.

So much has happened in Habits world since the release of their acclaimed debut album All For Something almost two years ago. They’ve travelled the world collecting fans who have warmed to their sound as have so many of their musical heroes and colleagues.

The band love to play live as anyone lucky enough to see them can testify.

Last year they were special guests to James Taylor on his 43 date US tour and supported Sarah McLachlan across Canada on her 30th Anniversary Fumbling Towards Ecstasy tour. In January they played Noah Kahan’s Out of the Blue Festival in Cancun and in February sang with Matty Healy in Newcastle at the Sunday for Sammy charity show.

For Tiny Habits, there’s never a dull moment.

“Peaches is ready to brawl with fascists” – The FADER

Today, Netflix releases Big Mistakes, the bold, new comedic family saga within a high-stakes crime thriller from Emmy-award winning Dan Levy. The series features the debut score from iconic musician Peaches, a pulsating, driving frenzy created alongside Grammy-winning composer Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum.

Big Mistakes follows Nicky (Levy) and Morgan (Taylor Ortega), two deeply incapable siblings who are in over their heads when a misguided theft for their dying grandmother accidentally pulls them into the world of organized crime. Blackmailed into increasingly dangerous assignments, they clumsily fail upwards, sinking deeper into chaos they’re ill-equipped to handle.

Big Mistakes Soundtrack follows the release of No Lube So Rude, Peaches’ first full length album in 10+ years. A brash, unapologetic blend of electronic, dance, punk, industrial, and pop music, the album exists at the intersection of the personal and the political, where the body serves not only as a sexual and spiritual vessel, but also as the front line in a battle for basic human rights. Peaches’ lyrics are bawdy and explicit here, laced with biting sarcasm and clever wordplay, but they’re also surprisingly vulnerable, offering up a candid look in the mirror from a post-menopausal queer icon reckoning with a society that’s come to expect silence, if not outright erasure.

Peaches recently wrapped her 27-date North American tour, putting on “a total party of the kind only Peaches can throw, complete with wild, explicit costumes a’plenty” (BrooklynVegan). She will embark on the EU/UK leg on April 15. Tickets on sale HERE

Born Merrill Nisker, Peaches first catapulted to international stardom with her 2000 debut, The Teaches of Peaches, which introduced the world to her sexually transgressive, fiercely assertive, and utterly captivating stage persona. The album’s ubiquitous lead single “Fuck the Pain Away” became a bonafide smash and a genuine pop culture phenomenon. Them Magazine praised Peaches saying “20 years after The Teaches of Peaches, the world is still catching up with the artist’s brash, irreverent, and sexually self-assured life philosophy.” In the years that followed, Peaches would go on to release five more trailblazing albums—prompting the The New York Times to dub her a “heroine” and Uncut to rave that she brings together “high art, low humour and deluxe filth [in] a hugely seductive combination”—and collaborate with everyone from Iggy Pop and Daft Punk to Christina Aguilera and R.E.M., to Kim Gordon and Yoko Ono. Her music has been honored with the prestigious Polaris Heritage Prize, featured in cultural watermarks like Lost In Translation, The Handmaid’s Tale, South Park, and Broad City, and studied at universities around the world. In addition to her musical output, Peaches has directed over 20 videos, co-curated a photo book of her life, created a host of immersive installations and performative works, and penned the electro-rock opera Peaches Does Herself, which was adapted into a film shown at over 70 festivals. The subject of two acclaimed documentaries—Teaches of Peaches (2024, directed by Judy Landkammer and Philipp Fussenegger) and Peaches Goes Bananas (2024, directed by Marie Losier)—she has also played the title role in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo and Brecht’s The Seven Deadly Sins and continues to perform her widely lauded one-woman show, Peaches Christ Superstar. Her aesthetic also provided the main influence for designer Anthony Vaccarello’s AW21 Saint Laurent collection. In 2026, she released her first full-length album in over a decade to widespread international acclaim.

Acclaimed Debut Album Dancing At The Edge Of The World Out Now

Sold-Out UK Tour Underway

Plays London’s KOKO Tonight

Announced To Support Jalen N’gonda On His 2026 UK & EU Tour

“A future megastar” – The Guardian

“Scottish indie star-in-waiting already mingling with the greats” – NME

“A stunning slice of soul”Telegraph

“Megastar in-the-making”The Line Of Best Fit

Following a stellar performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this year and fresh off the back of the release of her acclaimed debut album Dancing At The Edge Of The World in 2025, Brooke Combe returns with her infectious new single ‘Tears Won’t Lie’. The track is Brooke’s first release on Fontana Records. Listen to ‘Tears Won’t Lie’ HERE & watch the video HERE.

Produced by The Coral’s James Skelly at Kempston Studios in Liverpool, ‘Tears Won’t Lie’ is Brooke Combe on top of her game. Packed to the brim with charm, swagger and draped in her flawless, soul-filled vocals, the track is the perfect beginning to the next chapter in Brooke’s career.

’Tears Won’t Lie’ is a song that explores the truth that surfaces after a relationship falls apart,” Brooke says of the single. “It’s about someone who has spent years hiding their pain behind a smile, only to be confronted with the emotional reality they can’t suppress anymore. Sort of like the moment grief, self-awareness and reality meet, and you’re suddenly awake and won’t lose yourself to love again.”

“The influence soul music has had on the world of music often gets lost on people,” Brooke says of the strong community of new wave soul coming out of Scotland and the UK as a whole. “Sometimes it feels like everyone believes indie and rock music is what built UK music, but truthfully all of that came from the influence of soul scenes.”

The track comes alongside a stunningly retro video directed by James Slater (CMAT, Sam Fender, Jamie T). Filmed in Saltaire, West Yorkshire and set to the backdrop of a Northern Soul night, the video follows Brooke looking to forget her troubles at the dance hall while she fights back her tears. ““We wanted to build on the world we created on the last video for ‘How Can I Tell You? (To Love Me More),” Brooke said. “We explored another side to the visuals this time, something that reflected the lyrics and represents the mask we wear when we are suffering, while trying to continue to live our lives.”

Currently on her second sold-out headline run across the UK and known for her enthralling live shows, Brooke already has a 2026 packed with gigs. Headlining London’s KOKO tonight, Brooke has also been announced to support Jalen N’gonda across the UK & Europe later this year, including a date at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on October 28th, as well as a run of UK and EU festival slots through the summer. Kasabian Unleash ‘Great Pretender

New Album Act III – Out July 17th

Play Saturday Night Live April 4

Headline Finsbury Park July 4

After kicking off 2026 by collaborating with Calvin Harris on the dance floor banger ‘Release The Pressure,’ Kasabian have unleashed their explosive new track, ‘Great Pretender’. The track is the second to be taken from their forthcoming album Act III, which comes July 17th. The band have also been announced to make a special guest appearance on the brand new Sky One Saturday Night Live UK this Saturday, April 4th.

Following on from the ‘Hippie Sunshine,’ the album’s wavy first taste, ‘Great Pretender’ is an infectiously euphoric anthem made for festival stages. Written by Serge Pizzorno and produced by Serge and Mark Ralph, ‘Great Pretender’ will undoubtedly blow the lid off of Finsbury Park this summer. Listen to ‘Great Pretender’ HERE.

“‘Great Pretender’ is about imposter syndrome not as a weakness, but as a sign you’re on the edge of something real,” Serge says of the single. “It’s that feeling right before you step on stage, when the lights go down and it’s now or never.”

The band’s 9th studio album, with their last 7 all going straight in at #1 in the UK Official Album Chart, Act III was recorded at The Sergery and Club Ralph and produced by Serge and Mark Ralph. Draped in Serge’s instantly recognisable hazy vocals, the album is 10 tracks of guitar-driven, psyche-infused pop and 3 interludes. Packed to the brim with hooks and a strong dose of swagger, the album cements Kasabian as one of the UK’s most essential bands of the 21st century.

METRIC RELEASE SINGLE ‘CRUSH FOREVER

NEW ALBUM ROMANTICIZE THE DIVE OUT APRIL 24TH

UK & EU ALL THE FEELINGS TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED

WITH BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE & STARS

PLAY O2 ACADEMY BRIXTON IN LONDON SEPTEMBER 12TH

PLAY TWO SOLD-OUT ACOUSTIC IN-STORE AT LONDON’S ROUGH TRADE APRIL 13TH

Following the announcement of their September UK tour with Broken Social Scene and Stars last month, Metric have shared their latest single,’Crush Forever,’ which premiered on Huw Stephens’ BBC 6Music show. The track is the latest cut to be taken from their upcoming album, Romanticize The Dive – arriving April 24 on Thirty Tigers. Listen to ‘Crush Forever’ HERE.

Frontwoman Emily Haines calls the track “my love letter to strong girls in this world.” She wrote the lyrics in a stream-of-consciousness style as a passing of the torch: “Have the best but don’t be had, don’t be scared of pain, you’ll bounce right back, much stronger, sweeter than before, that’s us, go crush, go get what’s yours.”

The new song follows recent singles ‘Time Is A Bomb,’ a hard driving ode to seizing the moment with a dangerous adrenaline junkie edge; and ‘Victim of Luck,’ a mission statement tracing the band back to their early days and revisiting the tension, vulnerability, and hunger of youth.

For their tenth LP, Metric went back to the place where they met: New York City at the height of its indie-rock explosion. Recording once again at Electric Lady, Metric reunited with Fantasies and Synthetica producer Gavin Brown, joined by co-producers Jimmy Shaw, Liam O’Neil, and mix engineer John O’Mahoney. This emotional reunion sonically captures the thrill of the band’s earliest ascent, with all the chaos and possibility of the early-2000s music scene, and brings it into the cultural context of 2026.

In celebration of the release Metric will play two very special, stripped back sold-out shows at Rough Trade East in London on April 13th, as well as sold-out acoustic in-stores at The Mixtape in Paris on April 15th and Rough Trade in Berlin on April 17th. They also just announced a special Blood Records variant of the album – tricolour oxblood, silver and transpired green smash LP with silver cream and oxblood splatter, limited to 350 and hand-numbered that can be ordered HERE.

In addition to their new album, Metric, Broken Social Scene and Stars have announced the All The Feelings Tour, promoted by Live Nation. A celebration of lifelong friendship and creative communion amongst the Toronto legends, the tour kicks off in Austin at the Moody Theatre on June 8th and continues through the summer with an already sold out homecoming show at RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto on August 7th. Highlights include The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on June 16th, two sold out nights at The Brooklyn Paramount on July 30th & 31st and The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on August 4th. Since originally announcing the tour, they have added 15 new dates including a stop in Seattle, WA at Chateau Ste. Michelle on Thursday, June 25, along with several newly added shows in Canada, Europe and the UK, including Dublin, London, Paris, Berlin, and more. Tickets are on sale now at LiveNation.com.

4 Non Blondes Return To The UK For First Time In Over 30 Years

Play O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire In London June 24th

Linda Perry Releases New Solo Album Let It Die Here Out May 8th

& Plays Intimate Release Show At Rough Trade East In London June 22nd

Iconic band 4 Non Blondes are returning to the UK for the first time in over 30 years for a very special date at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on June 24th 2026.

The band, who recently reunited for a string of triumphant shows and festivals across the US last year, will bring their captivating live show to the UK shores for what is set to be one of the most celebrated live returns of the year. Artist and O2 pre-sale begin 10am on Wednesday March 25th with general sale at 10am Friday March 27th. For more info head HERE.

Led by Linda Perry, who releases her stunning new album Let It Die Here on May 8th, 4 Non Blonde’s debut album, Bigger, Better, Faster, More!, spent more than a year on the Billboard200 after its release in 1992, going platinum and spawning the anthem, ‘What’s Up?,’ ubiquitous on MTV at the time and still a rallying cry against those forces of quasi-political control in the name of personal freedom. Despite their meteoric rise, 4 Non Blondes disbanded in1994, with lead vocalist Linda Perry going from her auspicious start in 4 Non Blondes to a wildly successful career as a songwriter, producer, label owner and, including such platinum records as Christina Aguilera’s ‘Beautiful,’ Gwen Stefani’s ‘What You Waiting For?’ and P!nk’s ‘Get the Party Started.’

In 2025, multi-hyphenate songwriter/producer/performer/label owner/mentor/provocateur Linda Perry reunited with her original band 4 Non Blondes, which she first formed in the Bay Area in 1989 in the middle of an earthquake with co-founding bassist Christa Hillhouse. The two have now joined with drummer Dawn Richardson and guitarist Roger Rocha, both members of the original touring band, for the first time in more than 33 years. “I put my feelers out into the universe,” said Perry about the reunion. “Playing some songs with 4 Non Blondes just seemed like a fun thing to do, in a way it hadn’t before now. I’ve been behind the scenes for far too long. I want to step out to be the artist I am. I’m just open to all the possibilities that I’ve created around me. I manifest things all the time.

Perry set up a rehearsal in San Francisco, which she deemed “awkward at first,” but after getting together and playing, it proved promising enough for Linda to write “a bunch of new songs, revisit some old ones, and bam, we have an album. It’s really that simple. They’re all phenomenal players and now they get a chance to show that. I couldn’t ask for a better band to play these songs.

4 Non Blondes have confirmed that they will release a new studio album in 2026, their first new material since their acclaimed debut Bigger, Better, Faster, More!

NEIL DIAMOND RETURNS WITH WILD AT HEART

THE THIRD AND FINAL ALBUM FROM HIS 2007 RICK RUBIN COLLABORATION

AVAILABLE MAY 8 VIA CAPITOL/UME

FEATURES TEN PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED TRACKS CUT DURING PROLIFIC SESSIONS WITH RUBIN FOR HOME BEFORE DARK, DIAMOND’S FIRST EVER #1 ALBUM

WATCH THE OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO FOR “WILD AT HEART” HERE

VIEW THE WILD AT HEART TRAILER HERE

On May 8, rock ‘n’ roll icon Neil Diamond unveils Wild At Heart, a testament to his mastery and a remarkable third – and final – entry in his universally praised collaboration with producer Rick Rubin. Recorded initially at sessions for Diamond’s chart-topping Home Before Dark, this collection of ten songs features his signature passionate vocals and powerfully incisive lyrics surrounded by urgent yet stripped-down arrangements.

Diamond initially teamed up with Rubin for 2005’s 12 Songs, hailed as “one of the most entertaining, satisfying albums Diamond has ever released.” The partnership went so well that Diamond was eager to work with Rubin again. 2008’s Home Before Dark was a tremendous popular success (his first-ever Number One album on the Billboard charts) and garnered widespread critical praise. PopMatters’ James Bassett echoed many of his colleagues’ sentiments when he hailed Home Before Dark as “an album of rare beauty, grace, and eloquence that captures Diamond in all his plain-spoken and big-hearted glory. And it is easily the most intensely personal release of his esteemed career.

“My work with Rick was a labor of love,” Neil shares, and I’m so gratified that these songs will finally be set free into the world to complete our trilogy of work.”

Recently revisiting this material, Diamond spent time fleshing out nine new songs to be released for the first time and closed the set with an alternate take of ‘Forgotten,’ which initially appeared on Home Before Dark.

The unique set of songs on Wild At Heart (simultaneously archival and brand-new) will be released on CD, vinyl, and digital platforms via Capitol/UMe on May 8, 2026. Limited edition colored vinyl and 2CD versions will also be available. Preorder and Listen to Wild At Heart HERE

In anticipation of Wild At Heart’s release, digital Deluxe Editions of 12 Songs and Home Before Dark are now available and include the debut of bonus tracks previously available on limited physical releases. Listen to 12 Songs HERE and Home Before Dark HERE.

Diamond immensely enjoyed collaborating with Rick Rubin and the all-star quartet he assembled for the Home Before Dark sessions: keyboardist Benmont Tench and guitarist Mike Campbell (both from Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers), along with ace session guitarist Smokey Hormel and guitarist Matt Sweeney (co-founder of the NYC indie rock group Chavez) and frequent Will Oldham cohort. “Working with these guys and having Rick’s ear made it a great deal of fun,” Diamond told Billboard in 2008. “It was magic.”

Revealing the spare but emotional resonance that are hallmarks of his work with Rick Rubin, Wild At Heart has marvelous cohesiveness drawn from material recorded over a handful of years ago.

Accompanying his soul-baring lyrics and commanding yet vulnerable vocals, Diamond’s guitar, which he had rarely played on recordings, leads the unadorned arrangements, which involve mainly subdued guitars and keyboards.

Wild At Heart finds Diamond in a reflective, philosophical mood, but it is conveyed on a very human scale, so the songs come across as deeply personal. On ‘Shine On,’ the singer advises his son to “never doubt in yourself” and “sing what you feel inside.” The terrific ‘You Can’t Have It All’ remains presciently relevant today as Diamond asks: “What’s the matter with the world? Can’t everyone take care?

A well-known master of love songs, Diamond adds several more to his canon with ‘The Secret You’ and ‘You Still Look Good To Me,’ while ‘Talking It To Death’ and ‘Forgotten’ explore the rockier side of love that is on the rocks. ‘You’re Getting To Me,’ ‘You’re My Favorite Song,’ ‘You Never Know,’ and the title track contains classic Diamond hooks; however, the performances hold a warm intimacy that feels like he’s playing in your living room.

Neil Diamond’s illustrious career, spanning over five decades, has seen him sell over 130 million albums, placing him among the best-selling rock musicians ever. He has had 18 Top 10 albums and scored nearly 40 Top 40 singles, with ten reaching #1. His 1969 hit “Sweet Caroline” has continued its unbridled grip on pop culture and has become a permanent fixture at sporting events and a TV and film soundtrack favorite.

A GRAMMY ® Award-winning artist, Diamond is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He also has received two of the highest honors bestowed upon songwriters: the Johnny Mercer Award and the Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award.

Additionally, Diamond has garnered the GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award, NARAS’ MusiCares Person of the Year Award, and the prestigious Kennedy Center Honor for his lifetime of contributions to American culture. His achievements include a Golden Globe Award, 13 GRAMMY nominations, an American Music Award, an ASCAP Film and Television Award, and a Billboard Icon Award.

Diamond, who starred in the 1980 film The Jazz Singer, has seen his life and music turned into the hit Broadway musical A Beautiful Noise. The show debuted in New York City in 2022, and with over 650 performances and was one of the longest-running new musicals on Broadway since the pandemic. Beautiful Noise launched its first tour in 2024 and continues to tour across America with performances set to open in Australia in August, 2026. Listen to the Original Broadway Cast Recording of A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical, HERE.

In addition, Focus Features released Song Sung Blue on December 25th,  a musical drama starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson. Directed by Craig Brewer and based on a true story, the film follows two down-on-their-luck musicians who form a joyous Neil Diamond tribute band. The movie has been a huge success, with Hudson receiving Oscar, SAG Actor Award, Golden Globe, and BAFTA nominations, and will be released via international streaming in late Spring.

FOO FIGHTERS ‘CAUGHT IN THE ECHO’ NEW SINGLE FROM YOUR FAVORITE TOY ALBUM OUT APRIL 24th

Listen HERE, Check Out Visualizer HERE and Pre-Order the Album HERE

PLAY ANFIELD STADIUM IN LIVERPOOL JUNE 25TH & 27TH

‘Caught In The Echo,’ the third song to be released in advance of Foo Fighters’ forthcoming 12th full-length studio album, Your Favorite Toy, is now available across digital platforms.

Following in the turbulent wake of the album’s postpone-tinged banger of a title track — described by THE NEW YORK TIMES as “back-to-basics garage-rock delivered in a welter of noisy guitars” and moving VICE to rave “Unhinged Dave Grohl is my favorite version of Dave Grohl” — ‘Caught In The Echo’ is the instantly combustible opener that sets the tone for the harnessing of the FF live fury that pervades the album. From its opening exhortation of “Do I? Do I? Do I? Do I?” to its closing plea of “Who can save us now?”, ‘Caught In The Echo’ foreshadows the new album’s rough hewn energy with arguably the band’s most explosive opener since Wasting Light’s “Bridge Burning.”

Your Favorite Toy will be released April 24th via Roswell Records/Columbia Records. Recorded at home, the album was co-produced by Foo Fighters and Oliver Roman, engineered by Oliver Roman and mixed by Mark “Spike” Stent, and consists of the following songs:

Caught In The Echo

Of All People

Window

Your Favorite Toy

If You Only Knew

Spit Shine

Unconditional

Child Actor

Amen, Caveman

Asking For A Friend

Your Favorite Toy’s release heralds Foo Fighters’ massive Take Cover world tour, which just added an already SOLD OUT April 28 show at the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport CT.  The band will return to the UK for two dates at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium on June 25th and 27th. For more information on the tour, go to https://foofighters.lnk.to/ShowsPR.

Last but not least, running errands in the San Fernando Valley became a lot more interesting yesterday, as 20 personally burned CDs of ‘Caught in the Echo,’ each featuring individually hand-drawn artwork by Dave and Harper Grohl, were hidden in various locations in the area, ranging from local indie record stores to national grocery, book and pharmacy chains and more. For updates and further information on the ‘Caught in the Echo’ scavenger hunt, check https://www.instagram.com/foofighters/

Foo Fighters are Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Rami Jaffee and Ilan Rubin.

JACK JOHNSON ANNOUNCES SURFILMUSIC
SOUNDTRACK AND 4-TRACKS DOUBLE ALBUM –
OUT MAY 15 VIA BRUSHFIRE RECORDS

RELEASES NEW RENDITION OF ‘DRINK THE WATER’ WITH HERMANOS GUTIĒRREZ
LISTEN
HERE // WATCH HERE

 SURFILMUSIC DOCUMENTARY PREMIERED AT SXSW

Jack Johnson announces SURFILMUSIC, a new documentary chronicling his evolution from surfer to filmmaker to world-renowned musician. The film made its World Premiere at SXSW ahead of a special concert at Stubb’s in Austin, Texas, where Johnson and his band performed with Hermanos Gutiérrez.

SURFILMUSIC traces how Johnson’s early years making surf films with close friends became a foundation for a much broader creative life, capturing moments in and out of the water that later surfaced in his songwriting. Blending rare footage from those formative surf films and Johnson’s personal and family archives with present-day reflections, the film weaves together how lived experience, friendship, and exploration shaped the sound and stories behind the music. Directed by Emmett Malloy, featuring Jack Johnson, Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, Gerry Lopez, Chris Malloy, G Love, Ben Harper, John Florence, Emmett Malloy, Kim Johnson, and more, with a beautiful score by Jack Johnson and Hermanos Gutiérrez. In loving memory of Tamayo Perry.

In addition to the new film, Johnson has announced a companion double album, SURFILMUSIC Soundtrack and 4-Tracks, arriving May 15 via Brushfire Records. The soundtrack features the film’s original score by Jack Johnson and Hermanos Gutiérrez alongside remastered selections from Johnson’s early four-track recordings. 4-Tracks presents a deeper dive into the archival music from Johnson’s personal tapes, including raw recordings and previously unreleased gems from his earliest days making music.

The first track from the soundtrack is a new rendition of ‘Drink the Water w/ Hermanos Gutiērrez,’ and is available now on all digital streaming platforms along with an accompanying music video. Listen HERE & watch the video HERE.

Johnson will also bring SURFILMUSIC home with two special screenings in Hawai‘i on May 14 and May 15 at Blaisdell Concert Hall. The events will celebrate the film’s deep connection where Johnson grew up surfing, filmmaking, and writing many of the songs that shaped his career. Tickets for the Hawaiʻi premiere screenings will go on sale the week of March 16, with registrations now open for a Hawaiʻi resident only presale.

Previously unavailable to stream or purchase, and now meticulously remastered in 4K from the original 16mm film prints, Thicker Than Water and The September Sessions both filmed by Jack Johnson in his early 20’s, are available for rent or purchase on all video on demand platforms.

SURFILMUSIC will begin a theatrical run in early June 2026 and additional details surrounding screenings, and events will be announced soon.
