Metallica has confirmed that its record-breaking M72 World Tour will be extended into a third year, with the announcement of 21 North American shows spanning April, May and June 2025.

Two-night tickets for the newly announced No Repeat Weekends and tickets for the single-night engagements will be on sale September 27 at 10am local time. Fan club pre-sales begin September 23 at 10am local time. For further information, enhanced experiences, travel packages and more, go to https://metallica.lnk.to/M72WorldTour2025

Since opening April 2023 in Amsterdam, M72 has seen Metallica play to some three million fans. Variously hailed as “an altogether life-affirming experience” (Billboard), “impossible to leave unsatisfied” (Austin Chronicle), “a stone-cold stunner of a show” (Detroit News), “the mother of all summer concerts” (Worcester Telegram Gazette) and “as tight and furious as Metallica has sounded in ages” (Los Angeles Times), M72 continues to amaze fans and critics alike. The tour will conclude its triumphant 2024 run with four nights at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros, where Metallica will play to more than 250,000 fans over the course of two No Repeat Weekends.

The M72 World Tour’s 2025 itinerary will continue the hallowed No Repeat Weekend tradition, with each night of the two-show stands featuring entirely different setlists and support lineups. These will include the band’s first Nashville shows in five years on May 1 and 3 at Nissan Stadium, as well as Metallica’s return to Tampa after 15 years on June 6 and 8 at Raymond James Stadium. M72 has also confirmed its much anticipated Bay Area hometown play, to take place June 20 and 22 with the band’s debut performances at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

In a new twist, M72 2025 will feature several single shows bringing the tour’s full production, with its massive in-the-round stage, to venues including two college football stadiums: JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York on April 19, and Metallica’s first ever visit to Blacksburg, Virginia, home of the Virginia Tech Hokies.  The May 7 show at Lane Stadium will mark the culmination of 20+ years of “Enter Sandman” playing as the Hokies take the field.

In addition to playing football stadiums across the nation, the M72 World Tour’s 2025 itinerary will also include two festival headlines—the first being the opening night of the run April 12 at Sick New World at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. May 9 and 11 will then mark a festival/No Repeat Weekend combo as Metallica plays two headline sets at Sonic Temple at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

Support on M72’s 2025 North American run will come from Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies and Ice Nine Kills. See below for specifics.

Additionally, M72 2025 will see Metallica’s long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand. Stay tuned to https://www.metallica.com/ for further announcements.

TRACES THE SONGWRITER’S MUSICAL ODYSSEY THROUGH AMERICA, FROM HOLLYWOOD TO THE SOUTH AND BEYOND, AND LONGTIME CREATIVE PARTNERSHIP WITH T BONE BURNETT, IN NEW SIX-DISC BOX SET OUT NOVEMBER 1 VIA UMe

THIS DEFINITIVE COLLECTION FEATURES NEW 2024 REMASTER OF CLASSIC 1986 ALBUM, KING OF AMERICA; PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED 1987 LIVE CONCERT RECORDED AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL, LONDON; NEWLY DISCOVERED “RED BUS DEMOS” AND A COLLECTION OF SONGS AND COLLABORATIONS FROM COSTELLO’S RECORDING ADVENTURES ACROSS THE U.S., INCLUDING UNRELEASED DEMOS, OUTTAKES AND LIVE RECORDINGS

Elvis Costello’s King Of America & Other Realms celebrates and explores the songwriter’s lifelong love, fascination, and influence of American music, spanning his many albums and inspired collaborations with some of the most celebrated musicians, songwriters and producers in this music, including his longtime creative partnership with T Bone Burnett.

Compiled by Elvis Costello, the six-disc Super Deluxe Edition box set, King Of America & Other Realms, releasing November 1 via UMe, traces Costello’s musical travels from Hollywood, Calif. – where the King Of America album was recorded – to a brand-new take on that album’s opener, “Brilliant Mistake,” recorded in Cape Fear, N.C. in early 2024, via Costello’s recording adventures in New Orleans, Oxford and Clarksdale, Miss., Nashville and Memphis, Tenn. This one-of-a-kind 97-track musical journey is guided by Costello in a newly self-penned 35-page essay beautifully illustrated with numerous rare and never-before-seen photos in a 57-page booklet. The discs are housed in a handsome 12” x 11.5” package. A startlingly beautiful cover shot by Terence Donovan reveals the majesty and absurdity of a king in his velvet and bejeweled crown and embroidered denim jacket.

King Of America & Other Realms is anchored by a new 2024 remaster from the original master tapes of Costello’s 1986 career-defining, T Bone Burnett-produced album, King Of America, and features solo demos from 1985, including never previously released demos cut at Red Bus Recording Studios in London in the months prior to the King Of America sessions in Hollywood and mixed from newly discovered multitrack tapes; a 17-song Royal Albert Hall concert from 1987 in London, mixed from multitrack tapes; and a three-disc compendium of recordings and collaborations from across the last four decades, including previously unreleased demos, outtakes and live recordings. The collection was produced by Elvis Costello and Steve Berkowitz.

In addition to the Super Deluxe Edition box set, King Of America & Other Realms will also be available on 2CD with the new 2024 remaster of the album on CD1 and highlights from the box set on CD2, including studio recordings, demos and live recordings. The new remaster of King Of America will be available separately on both 140-gram black vinyl as well as limited edition 140-gram gold nugget colour vinyl, exclusively via ElvisCostello.comuDiscover Music and Sound of Vinyl.

King Of America & Other Realms is being previewed today with the new 2024 remastered version of King Of America standout “Indoor Fireworks.”

Titled Le Roi Sans Sabots, the second disc of King Of America & Other Realms collects Costello’s solo demos from 1985, including performances recently unearthed from two reels of demo recordings, cut at London’s Red Bus Recording Studios in the months prior to the King Of America sessions in Hollywood. “Brilliant Mistake” and “Blue Chair” are presented with radically different lyrics, shedding new light on the intention of key songs from the King Of America album. “Deportee” – later brutalised and distorted on “Goodbye Cruel World” – is heard in a direct and emotional vocal performance with acoustic guitar. Meanwhile, an early sketch of “Next Time Round” shows that it was actually written for King Of America but not recorded again until the album, Blood & Chocolate, released eight months later in September 1986. Also included is an outtake of “Shoes Without Heels,” a contender for King Of America that ultimately didn’t make the album; a different recording of the song would eventually be released on the 1987 rarities and unreleased tracks collection, Out Of Our Idiot.

The disc is bookended by the opening and closing title themes by The Coward Brothers, the pseudonymous side project that Costello and T Bone Burnett adopted for a series of tours in ’84 and ’85. The Red Bus Demos are sequenced together with previously released solo sessions recorded at Hollywood’s Ocean Way Studios. “If you are familiar with the songs of King Of America and then listen to the collection of sketches and solo performances on ‘Le Roi Sans Sabots’ you may see a different picture,” Costello writes in the accompanying essay, adding, “Assembling ‘Le Roi Sans Sabots’ has been a little like developing an old negative to discover a photograph, close to a very familiar image but crucially different in composition and implication. It seems that sometime after these initial solo sessions, I resolved to balance the break-up theme with lyrics with a more satirical note.” Also included are early drafts of “Jack Of All Parades,” and “Sleep Of The Just” along with solo versions of “Poisoned Rose,” “Indoor Fireworks,” “I’ll Wear It Proudly,” “Suffering Face,” and the piano ballad, “Having It All – written for a scene at the Eiffel Tower in the movie “Absolute Beginners.”

In early 1987 Costello played a six-night, sold-out stand at the Royal Albert Hall in London; three shows with the Attractions and three devoted to King Of America and other realms, with a band billed as The Confederates (the dictionary definition for ally or accomplice and nothing to do with America’s Civil War), featuring guitarist James Burton and bassist Jerry Scheff from Elvis Presley’s legendary TCB Band, drummer Jim Keltner, keyboardist Benmont Tench of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and T-Bone Wolk, who added accordion and mandolin to the ensemble. The electrifying concert featured live renditions of several King Of America titles along with Costello’s takes on a host of great American songwriter’s songs: “Only Daddy That’ll Walk The Line,“ made famous by Waylon Jennings, Dan Penn & Spooner Oldham’s “It Tears Me Up,” Arthur Alexander’s “Sally Sue Brown,” Allen Toussaint’s “Riverboat,” Sonny Boy Williamson’s “Your Funeral And My Trial,” Mose Allison’s Your Mind Is On Vacation,” Ray Charles’ “What Would I Do Without You,” Jesse Winchester’s “Payday,” Dave Bartholomew’s “That’s How You Got Killed Before” and Buddy Holly’s “True Love Ways.” This never-before-released concert, recorded on January 27, 1987, is captured on Disc 3 – “Kings Of America Live At The Royal Albert Hall” – which has been newly mixed from the multitrack tapes.

King Of America would mark the second in a long line of Costello’s albums to be recorded in the U.S. over the ensuing four decades and that singularly eclectic, musical American odyssey is chronicled in great detail on the 48-track 3-disc digest of studio recordings – spanning the studio albums Spike (1989, Hollywood and New Orleans), The Delivery Man (2004, Oxford, Miss.), The River In Reverse (2006, Hollywood and New Orleans), Momofuku (2008, Los Angeles), Secret, Profane & Sugarcane (2009, Nashville), National Ransom (2010, Los Angeles and Nashville) and Look Now (2018, Hollywood, New York City) – woven together with a slew of previously unreleased demos, outtakes and live recordings.

Some of Costello’s many collaborations with American musicians are represented throughout the three discs, labelled Il Principe Di New Orleans E Le Marchese Del MississippiEl Príncipe Del Purgatorio and finally Der Herzog Des Rampenlicht, including several studio and previously unreleased tracks from his collaborations with New Orleans R&B legend, Allen Toussaint, and longtime creative accomplice, T Bone Burnett. In addition to a handful of songs from Costello and Toussaint’s collaborative album, The River In Reverse, included are live versions of “Bedlam” from that record and “Clown Strike,” arranged by Toussaint and performed with The Imposters, A.B. Crown and The Crescent City Horns in Montreal in 2006, and the Toussaint-penned, Lee Dorsey classic, “The Greatest Love,” as featured in HBO’s David Simon-produced, New Orleans-based series “Treme.” This version is being made available for the first time outside of the show while the Montreal performances are making their audio debuts, having been released on the long out-of-print DVD “Hot As A Pistol, Keen As A Blade.”

Discs 5 and 6 features nearly half of Costello’s Burnett-produced album, National Ransom, joined by “Lost On The River #12” from Lost On The River: The New Basement Tapes, the acclaimed 2014 Burnett-led project consisting of musicians singing and setting discovered Bob Dylan lyrics from 1967 to music. Costello offers unreleased recordings of “Quick Like A Flash” from the New Basement Tapes sessions, demos of the National Ransom tune “Church Underground” and album outtakes “Condemned Man” and “For More Tears,” the first-ever release of the latter song which has only ever been performed live, as well as a stirring live performance of “A Scarlet Tide,” Costello and Burnett’s Oscar and Grammy-nominated song for the film “Cold Mountain,” recorded at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville with Emmylou HarrisGillian Welch and David Rawlings.

Elsewhere on the collection, Costello duets with singers Lucinda Williams and Emmylou Harris on The Delivery Man tracks “There’s A Story In Your Voice” and “Heart Shaped Bruise.” The latter, recorded live with Harris at the Hi Tone in Memphis in 2004, was previously only available on the concert DVD “Club Date: Live In Memphis.” Rosanne Cash and Kris Kristofferson are joined by Costello on the captivating “April 5th,” one of two songs recorded by the elusive supergroup “C.C.K.”

King Of America & Other Realms culminates with three new recordings recorded in 2024: “Indoor Fireworks” (Memphis Magnetic Version), “That’s Not The Part of Him You’re Leaving” with Larkin Poe and a recent arrangement of “Brilliant Mistake” performed, as Costello remarks, “over a habanera rhythm in a minor key to mark the dark passing of the years and our elusive hold on hope, taking a detour into the 1933, Harry Warren/Al Dubin song, ‘Boulevard Of Broken Dreams’ rather than just alluding to it in the lyric of the last verse.” The final song of the set is “That Day Is Done,” a song co-written by Costello and Paul McCartney for McCartney’s 1989 album Flowers In The Dirt, here performed with the gospel group The Fairfield Four, bringing this wild and wonderfully odd odyssey to a close.

Released in 1986, King Of America marked a significant shift in Costello’s career, both musically and personally. Unlike his previous albums with The Attractions, he mostly collaborated with a group of session musicians, including Ray Brown and Earl Palmer, and members of Elvis Presley’s TCB Band, that he dubbed The Confederates, and curiously only listed himself as The Costello Show. Similarly, the songs were credited to Declan Patrick Aloysius MacManus. A departure from the new wave and punk he made his name with, the record’s sound leaned heavily into American country and folk influences, showcasing Costello’s versatility as a songwriter and musician. The album was critically acclaimed and helped to reinforce his artistic credibility during a time when he was transitioning away from the brash persona that had initially defined his career. This pivot not only broadened his musical palette but also solidified his reputation as one of the most innovative and enduring artists of his generation.

In the nearly forty years from its release, King Of America’s stature only continues to grow among fans and critics. Retrospectively, the album is seen as one of Costello’s best works, with All Music calling it “one of his masterpieces,” and Stereogum declaring it “the most successful of Costello’s pointed genre excursions, a detour into roots music and country that plays to his great strengths as a lyricist and storyteller.” Pitchfork hailed it as a “complex and conflicted album that, despite all the spit and polish, sounds lively and raucous,” while Spin remarked, “stately country-folk overtones lend the heartrending songs ‘Brilliant Mistake,’ ‘American Without Tears’ and ‘Jack Of All Parades’ a grandeur that feels timeless.”

Talk On Corners UK & Ireland Arena Tour
Nov 8th – Nov 20th
9 Dates including Dublin 3Arena & London O2 Arena
+ support from Natalie Imbruglia

To celebrate The Corrs returning to the live arena with their 2024 UK and Ireland Talk On Corners tour in November, the band today announce special details of the reissuing of six of their classic studio albums on limited edition colour vinyl for the very first time – preorder HERE.

This marks the first time that these albums have been available on vinyl (apart from Jupiter Calling which had a limited black vinyl release in 2017), and the first time that any of them have been available in collectible colour vinyl. The albums will be released in 3 batches to coincide with the tour, with Talk On Corners (2LP Limited Edition Gold Vinyl) & In Blue (2LP Limited Edition Blue Vinyl)out October 25th, Borrowed Heaven (2LP Limited Edition Green Vinyl) & Home (2LP Limited Edition Yellow Vinyl)out November 15th & White Light (2LP Limited Edition White Vinyl) & Jupiter Calling (2LP Limited Edition Red Vinyl)out December 6th.

The Corrs are Ireland’s first family of music, a multi-million selling sibling quartet who have conquered the world with a seamless blend of sleek pop rock, lush harmonies and Celtic folk trimmings. Comprising Andrea (lead vocals, piano, tin whistle), Sharon (violin, piano, vocals), Caroline (drums, piano, vocals) and Jim (guitar, keyboards, vocals), The Corrs have sold over 40 million albums since their debut Forgiven, Not Forgotten in 1995, spawning a dozen classic hit singles.

An enchanting mix of traditional Celtic music with a pop rock twist, The Corrs have written some of the biggest songs of the last three decades. Forgiven, Not Forgotten gave us the incredible title track, the exquisite Heaven Knows and of course, arguably one of the biggest contemporary songs of the modern era, Runaway. Their second album, Talk On Corners led with I Never Loved You Anyway, So Young and Only When I Sleep and is their biggest selling album to date.

They have enjoyed a career that has also seen Platinum records, BRIT Awards, Grammy and Ivor Novello nominations, the honour of being the only band to be asked to perform at Nelson Mandela’s 85th birthday, and more recently, the Queen’s Jubilee in 2002.

New Single Featuring Billy Strings

LISTEN | WATCH

Margo Price returns with new single ‘Too Stoned To Cry’ featuring vocals and guitar from her friend Billy Strings

Following the resounding reception of 2023’s Strays – the hard-rocking, shroom-steeped opus hailed as her “strongest solo work yet” (The New Yorker) – ‘Too Stoned To Cry’ finds Margo squarely in the saddle of the plainspoken, poignant and empowering style of music that first cemented her place as a generational storyteller. Written by Andrew Combs, and produced by Beau Bedford, the song exemplifies why country has been a comfort for Price in her darkest days, and signals much more to come as she prepares for new music in 2025. Listen to ‘Too Stoned To Cry (feat. Billy Strings) HERE & watch the lyric video HERE.

“It was such a joy to work with Billy on this song. He really nailed the vocals and laid down a beautiful lead,” Margo said of the track. “I have wanted to record this song for years now, ever since I heard the writer Andrew Combs sing it. My buddy Beau Bedford and I had been in the studio together working on an Orville Peck track, and I asked him to produce this single for me. He put together a really great band – Beau and I, plus my husband Jeremy Ivey played acoustic, Aksel Coe on drums, Misa Arriaga on Bass, Russ Pahl on pedal steel, Joey McClellan on electric. Once we got Billy to add his guitar and singing, I knew this song was gonna be a special recording.”

“Too Stoned To Cry” foresees the start of a fresh chapter for Margo Price, a restless spirit in the midst of a year full of change. From her new sound and bandmates, to both her look and outlook, she has written extensively and unabashedly in her publication Rawdoggin’ Reality, about the state of herself, her career and the world around her, the rabbit holes she has gone down and the regrets she lacks. Price reflects:

“When I first came on the scene, I was a countryfied, hard headed, whiskey drinkin nobody who was pissed off at the establishment. All of that’s still true, except for the whiskey drinkin part,” Margo said. “If anything, now that I’ve lived for a while inside of the establishment, I’m even more pissed off. I’ve let some people go, I’m still fighting with others to let me be myself, but I know, I’m gonna make this next record the way I want to make it, no matter what it takes.”

This month, Margo Price will appear at AmericanaFest and Farm Aid, where she serves alongside Dave Matthews, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Willie Nelson as the first female artist on its board of directors. She will also perform at upcoming celebrations for Robbie Robertson and Mavis Staples, and in recent weeks shared a new collaboration with Orville Peck called “You’re an Asshole, I Can’t Stand You (and I Want a Divorce),” an original T Bone Burnett-produced song and Elvis Costello cover for Netflix film Downtown Owl (“Shelter Me” & “Pump It Up”), and a rendition of “Ways To Be Wicked” (feat. Mike Campbell) for Petty Country: A Country Music Celebration of Tom Petty

On the heels of Strays, Strays II and her 2023 memoir, Maybe We’ll Make It, Margo Price appeared on Austin City Limits, CBS Mornings, The Daily Show, Howard Stern, The Late Late Show and far beyond, in addition to the Americana Awards, GRAMMY Museum and Libera Awards, the magazine covers of BUST, Paste, Pollstar, Relix, The Nashvillian and more. She shared stages with Chris Stapleton, Dr. Jill Biden, Jason Isbell, Sharon Van Etten, Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Willie Nelson and numerous others, all while staying “unstoppable, unsinkable, uninhibited” (The New York Times).

OUT OCTOBER 4TH ON SOUTHEASTERN RECORDS

NEW SINGLE THIS AIN’T IT OUT NOW

JASON WILL PERFORM ANOTHER EIGHT NIGHTS AT THE RYMAN AUDITORIUM THIS OCTOBER & SEVEN UK HEADLINE SHOWS IN NOVEMBER

On October 4th, Southeastern Records will release Live From The Ryman Vol. 2, the new live album from six-time Grammy Award winner Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit.

Live From The Ryman Vol. 2 draws from multi-track recordings by the band’s longtime front-of-house engineer, Cain Hogsed, from 4 of the last 6 years of sold-out shows at Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium. The first two live singles King Of Oklahoma and This Ain’t It are out now on all digital platforms.

Hogsed co-produced the album alongside Isbell, and mixed the tracks with Nashville, TN’s Todd Tidwell. Live From The Ryman Vol. 2 features 15 live versions of songs from the band’s last two critically acclaimed, award-winning studio albums – Reunions (2022) and Weathervanes, (2023), as well as stunning rendition of “The Last Song I Will Write,” from Isbell’s 2009 self-titled release, and a poignant cover of Tom Petty’s “Room at the Top.”

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit’s Weathervanes won two 2023 Grammy Awards for Best Americana Album and Best American Roots Song (“Cast Iron Skillet”). Weathervanes was produced by Isbell and released in June of 2023. The record is a collection of grown-up songs: Songs about adult love, about change, about the danger of nostalgia and the interrogation of myths, about cruelty and regret and redemption.

Weathervanes was named in Albums Of The Year lists in 2023 from the likes of MOJO, Uncut & Classic Rock, and received critical acclaim from The Times, Record Collector & many more.

Since his first show there in 2014, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit has sold out over 50 nights at the Ryman Auditorium. Isbell and his band are likely to add to that number this October, when he’ll perform another 8 nights at the Ryman. Tickets are still available for his annual residency there.

Jason Isbell has established himself as one of the most respected and celebrated songwriters of his generation. The North Alabama native possesses an incredible penchant for identifying and articulating some of the deepest, yet simplest, human emotions, and turning them into beautiful poetry through song.

Isbell sings of the everyday human condition with thoughtful, heartfelt, and sometimes brutal honesty. Isbell broke through in 2013 with the release of Southeastern. His next two albums, Something More Than Free (2015) and The Nashville Sound (2017), won Grammy Awards for Best Americana Album & Best American Roots Song. Isbell’s song “Maybe It’s Time” was featured in the 2019 reboot of A Star Is Born.

Isbell’s 2020 full-length, Reunions, is a critically-acclaimed collection of ten songs that showcases an artist at the height of his powers and a band fully charged with creativity and confidence. The creation of the album and the period around it is the subject of a full-length documentary from Sam Jones, Running With Our Eyes Closed

Isbell also appears as Bill Smith in the Oscar-nominated Martin Scorsese film, Killers of the Flower Moon, which received the 2024 SAG Award for Cast in a Motion Picture. Isbell’s time on set with Scorsese informed Weathervanes. He watched the great director work, saw the relationship between a clear vision and its execution, and perhaps most important, saw how even someone as decorated as Scorsese sought out and used his co-workers’ opinions.

“It definitely helped when I got into the studio,” Isbell says. “I had this reinvigorated sense of collaboration. You can have an idea and you can execute it and not compromise — and still listen to the other people in the room.”

New Album EELS

Out September 27th Via Bayonet

“Surf-rock riffs, oddball humour, and warped Americana storytelling define the Austin band” — Pitchfork

“One of the most chaotic trios in Texas.”  — The Line Of Best Fit

“Part scuzz-rock haymaker, part paisley-coloured psychedelic singalong, ‘Firefighters’ could function equally well as a theme song for the titular emergency service members or a more universal anthem for the ever-encroaching calamity.” — The FADER

Being Dead — the Austin, TX-based project of multi-instrumentalists and best friends Falcon Bitch and Shmoofy — unveil the new single/video, ‘Goodnight,’ from their new album, EELS, out September 27th on Bayonet. Listen to ‘Goodnight’ HERE & watch the video HERE.

Sleep is the only thing more important to us than sex. This song has both,” the band explains, as they sing about falling asleep and falling in love. The video was shot by Tricia Torley and features footage of the band’s hijinx while on tour. Being Dead kicks off their North American dates in support of EELS with a pair of hometown shows in the next month including Austin City Limits Festival. The band will be joined by support from Dari Bay, Villagerrr, Sex Week, Golden Apples, Omni, and Big Bill throughout their run.

A band whose varying origin stories have been immortalised across the last seven years of making music together, Falcon Bitch and Shmoofy deliver each story with a wink, inviting you in on the joke. Something about their music suggests it’s a dispatch from both the future and the past – vocal harmonies that sound like they’re reverberating in a medieval church to surfy guitar lines, weirdo-punky cacophonies erupting into chaos. There’s the sense that these are two people who are strangers to all that is banal – there is always fun to be had, a little mischievous magic waiting around the corner, if you know how to find or make it.

Like its animal namesake suggests, the songs on EELS are malleable, the record like slithering through murky waters or strange half dreams, mysterious and beautiful in how it moves, reflective in a wavering sheen. Dipping into each song feels like uncovering a new cavern, plunging into depths unknown but fully open to what will be revealed. EELS feels like an album of possibilities, little tasters of what might be next, a vast and limitless stretching out before them.

IN CINEMAS FOR THE FIRST TIME ON OCTOBER 17 AND 20

FULLY RESTORED WITH 20 MINUTES OF ADDITIONAL UNRELEASED FOOTAGE

Trafalgar Releasing and the Tom Petty Estate are thrilled to announce the highly anticipated big screen debut of TOM PETTY: HEARTBREAKERS BEACH PARTY. The lost 1983 cult classic documentary, directed by legendary Rolling Stone journalist and Academy Award-winning director Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous, Jerry Maguire), will screen in cinemas worldwide for two special nights only on October 17 and October 20 (on what would have been Tom Petty’s 74th birthday). Fans will experience Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers like never before with a new introduction from Crowe himself and an all-new 20-minute cut of unreleased outtakes from the acclaimed director. Watch/share the trailer here

“Heartbreakers Beach Party occupies a special place in my heart,” says Crowe. “Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers leaned into the making of the film with a kind of hilarious music-filled honesty that still feels fresh forty years later. It was also my first experience as a director. Thanks to Adria Petty and the Petty Estate, along with our co-filmmakers Danny Bramson, Phil Savenick, Doug Dowdle and Greg Mariotti, I’m so happy we’re bringing it back in all its reckless glory. The fact that it was yanked from MTV after only one airing at 2:00 a.m. just shows that it was indeed an outlandish feast for fans in all the best ways. Let that sucker blast!”

Tickets for TOM PETTY: HEARTBREAKERS BEACH PARTY are available now at www.TomPettyFilm.com.

This cinematic event marks the first time TOM PETTY: HEARTBREAKERS BEACH PARTY has been seen on the big screen, fully remastered in 4K. Originally airing only once on MTV in February 1983, it was Crowe’s directorial debut and pirated versions have been coveted by fans ever since. Featuring a mix of in-depth interviews, electrifying live performances and unprecedented intimate access to Petty and the band – including Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench, Stan Lynch, and new addition Howie Epstein – the film’s influence can even be seen in Rob Reiner’s This Is Spinal Tap.

The film, now restored from its 16mm source by Crowe, reveals an era defining look at rock & roll in 1982 when Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers finished, promoted and toured around the groundbreaking album Long After Dark. Often misunderstood, this is the band’s third and final album with legendary rock producer Jimmy Iovine. Alongside the film an expansive reissue, Long After Dark (Deluxe Edition), featuring a collection of rediscovered and unheard songs will be released on October 18.

MTV, a relatively new network at the time, was instrumental in shaping music culture, and this film captures the essence of that era. The film features behind the scenes footage of the iconic apocalyptic western music video for “You Got Lucky,” directed by Jim Lenahan, which was groundbreaking and pioneering for its short film approach and futuristic style.

This is the second “Meet Up” for Tom Petty fans following the successful 2021 Trafalgar release of award-winning and critically acclaimed Tom Petty: Somewhere You Feel Free – The Making of Wildflowers.

“This special cinematic event offers Tom Petty fans a unique opportunity to unite and honour the music that has deeply resonated with countless fans through many decades and generations,” says Kymberli Frueh, Senior Vice President for Programming and Content Acquisitions at Trafalgar Releasing. “The cinema platform offers a way for these fans to connect with one another and hopefully create new memories together.”

About Tom Petty

Over his 40-year career, Tom Petty became a beloved American rock & roll icon, world renowned for his songwriting and his incredible band the Heartbreakers. In addition to the 13 studio albums he made with the Heartbreakers, Petty recorded three solo albums, including the acclaimed Full Moon Fever and Wildflowers. Petty was also a member of the supergroup, Traveling Wilburys, and in the pre-Heartbreakers band, Mudcrutch.

Hailed as one of the greatest popular music artists of all time, Petty’s honours include Songwriters Hall of Fame, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and multiple Grammy Awards. He has sold over 85 million records, amassed over 5 billion streams and performed to over 140 million fans worldwide. Tom Petty passed away in 2017 shortly after completing his 40th anniversary tour, leaving behind a trove of unreleased material. His music continues to reach fans, both new and old, around the world today.

Out January 31st, 2025 On Modern Sky Records

Includes Brand New Single ‘The Last Time’ – Out Now

Headline Date at The Arts Club, Liverpool – December 13th

“A future megastar” – The Guardian

“Scottish indie star-in-waiting already mingling with the greats” – NME
“A stunning slice of soul”Telegraph
“Megastar in-the-making” The Line Of Best Fit

Following her breakout in 2023, which saw debut mixtape Black Is The New Gold shortlisted at the Scottish Album Of The Year Awards, one of Scotland’s most exciting artists Brooke Combe announces her debut album Dancing At The Edge Of The World – due for release January 31st, 2025 on Modern Sky Records.

Today also sees the release of brand new track ‘The Last Time’. Following its premiere on BBC Radio 6 Music from Craig Charles, the track is an impactful final goodbye that strikes with every chord and cutting lyric, brilliantly capturing that widespread experience of coming to terms with the fact a relationship in terminal decline cannot be salvaged – listen HERE & watch the lyric video HERE.

Fans got a first taste of new music when Brooke dropped the album’s title track last month, with her beautifully captivating vocals taking the front seat in this stunning, laid back soul jam – listen HERE.

Collaborating with musician and producer James Skelly, best known as the frontman of The Coral, Dancing At The Edge Of The World is the perfect opening statement, showing a tantalising first look at the artist she will become. Redolent of those first offerings from Michael Kiwanuka, Duffy and Corinne Bailey Rae, it revels in lush, orchestral arrangements, irresistible rhythms and a voice that could have come right out of Motown.

Brooke explains; “This album is the most authentic piece of work I’ve done so far. After experimenting with a few different styles and working with different song writers, I decided to go back to my roots and work with my original team and created something that I genuinely love. We’ve created a real summer soul album. Recorded live to tape, it captures similar vibes to all my favourite old soul records, and delves into themes relating to love, toxic relationships (no surprises there), as well as exploring escapism. Overall this album is raw, mean, groovy & emotional.”

Around the time Brooke was leaving her first label, she wrote the title track, born from a quote Skelly shared with her, embodying hope, freedom, and new beginnings. Returning to her roots, she recorded the album live to tape with her original team, aiming to capture the spirit of her favourite records.

The project, completed in just six months, showcases vocal prowess and emotional depth in tracks like ‘Pieces’ – a dignified yet devastating condemnation of an ex-lover. Her songwriting is deeply personal, ranging from the hypnotic ‘Butterfly’ to the soulful ‘If I Could Only Be Yours’. She explores themes of love and loss with a raw candour in ‘Guilt’, writing from her father’s perspective during a rocky relationship. Her empathy and emotional depth are further highlighted in the direct lyrics of ‘L.M.T.F.A.’.

Tipped by Rolling Stone UK as ‘One of 2023’s defining artists’ in their ‘Ones To Watch’ and in Dork Magazine’s ‘Hype List 2023’ and already garnering support from the likes of The Guardian, NME, Clash, BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and Radio X, Brooke Combe continues to rise as one of the UK’s hottest talents.

Throughout the record, Brooke offers listeners a sense of closure but, with it, possibilities –  as though with the closing of one door, myriad others are opening to the sound of her voice. Dancing At The Edge Of The World is a resounding, indisputable opening salvo from Britain’s newest and brightest star.

Brooke will return to Liverpool for a very special date at The Arts Club in Liverpool on Friday December 13th. Tickets are on-sale HERE.

New Studio Album I AmOut September 20th

Sep/Oct UK In-Store Dates
2 Week November UK Arena Tour Supporting The Script

Coming off the back of a stellar UK & European festival run, lighting up the UK airwaves and his rowdiest ‘Tom’s Town’ pop up appearance to date, Tom Walker today unveils the beautiful title track to his highly-anticipated new album I Am out September 20th.

A stunning, subdued beats and keys-led track, ‘I Am’ gallops in and out of Tom’s delicate, honest vocals before absolutely exploding into life with aplomb – listen HERE.

As Tom explains on the album and song title, with typically forceful passion and honesty: “I’ve called it ‘I Am’ because it’s the culmination of me trying to figure out who I am for the last four years. This record is a snapshot of what’s been going on in my life, and what’s been happening around me – what’s made me happy or sad, ecstatic or miserable.”

The album has already seen impeccable releases in ‘Burn’, ‘Freaking Out’, ‘Head Underwater’ and ‘Holy Ghost’. Tom performed ‘Burn’ & ‘Freaking Out’ with aplomb on Later…With Jools Holland. Watch HERE & HERE.

Where previously, Tom became known for powerful accounts of other people’s stories, including a friend’s battle with drugs (‘Leave A Light On’), and articulating his own relatable feelings for his now wife (‘Just You & I’); on his new album he now finds himself writing about his own personal struggles and anxieties, creative challenges, sadness and moments of despair. It is a sometimes visceral account of who Tom Walker is in 2024, hence the title: I Am.

After writing, and binning, a plethora of new tracks, an exhausted Tom subsequently headed out to Los Angeles to write with the McDonough brothers, Toby Gadd, Ryan Daly & Castle, who’s credits between them include Beyonce, Joji, Khalid, Benson Boone, Mimi Webb and John Legend. The trip reignited the excitement and love of trying brand new things.

The results speak for themselves with ‘Freaking Out’, ‘Lifeline’, ‘Burn’, ‘Head Underwater’ and now ‘Holy Ghost’. Looking ahead, Tom plays an intimate run of UK in-stores dates before heading out to the US and Europe for his own headline tour. He then returns to the UK & Europe for an arena tour with The Script across November & December.

As Tom succinctly puts it; I will die for these songs. It’s the first time in a long time I’ve felt like that. You’ve got to ignore what everyone else wants from you, and you’ve got to back yourself.”

Honesty and confession, anger and agitation, frustration and relief, succour and support – this is I Am all over, and this Tom Walker, all in.

Tom will next head out on a run of UK in-store performances to support the release of I Am, then to Europe & the US for headline tours, before returning to the UK & Europe for an arena tour with The Script across November & December:
