Includes Two London Shows

New track ‘Obsession’ Out Now

Jehnny Beth releases blistering new song ‘Obsession’, taken from her forthcoming Fiction album You Heartbreaker, You. It’s one addictive slice of pent-up angst and will no doubt sound incredible live when she tours Europe later this year.

Written by Jehnny Beth & her longtime co-creator Johnny Hostile, ‘Obsession’ was recorded and produced by Johnny Hostile at their 20L07 studio in France. Listen HERE & watch the video HERE.

’Obsession’ is the first song Johnny and I wrote together for this album,” Jehnny Beth says. “The lyrics ‘you heartbreaker, you’ gave the title to the album but, more than that, the song gave the album its tone. It is probably one of the most detailed tracks on the record. The song obviously deals with the subject of primal obsession. It has this spiralling repetitive tension to the point of explosion, going from a whispered confession to a gnarly scream in the blink of an eye, which was fun to make – imagine Tricky and Jonathan Davis making a song with Adam Jones from Tool! In my head anyway.

Jehnny Beth will spend most of October on tour including two London shows:

October 30th at Electrowerkz and October 31st at the Camden Assembly.

Tickets go on sale Friday June 13th, and will be available to purchase HERE.

(June 5, 2025 – Los Angeles, CA) Madonna announces the long-rumored project “Veronica Electronica” featuring rare and unreleased remixes from her critically acclaimed album Ray of Light. This pivotal moment in Madonna’s singular career will also be highlighted with a new release from the Silver Collection, Madonna’s ongoing career-spanning series of collectible, limited-edition silver vinyl reissues of her unparalleled catalogue.

Veronica Electronica, an eight-track companion to Ray of Light, was originally envisioned by Madonna as a remix album in 1998. Ray of Light went on to sell over 16 million copies worldwide and earned Madonna four GRAMMY® Awards, including Best Pop Album.

More than 25 years later, that long-rumored concept finally comes to life. The collection features newly edited versions of club remixes by Peter Rauhofer, William Orbit, Sasha, BT, and Victor Calderone, along with the original demo of “Gone, Gone, Gone”—a previously unreleased recording produced by Madonna and Rick Nowels.

Legendary Sheffield music venue bids farewell to the city after 45 years with one last gig on June 27th.

It was announced this morning that the long-standing independent music venue would cap off four and a half decades as a cultural hub with a special headline gig from Liverpool indie legend (and friend of the venue) Miles Kane.

The gig, which will see Miles joined by his full backing band, comes at the end of a stacked final month for The Leadmill as they welcome sold-out shows from the likes of The K’s and Milburn frontman Joe Carnall Jnr as a part of their farewell campaign.

No stranger to the venue, Miles first performed there as a solo artist on his debut album tour in 2011 and has gone on to sell out the venue a further four times as a solo performer, most recently launching his One Man Band tour with an exclusive warm-up gig there in December 2023.

As well as five sold-out visits under his own name, a 21 year old Miles also twice looked out over a Leadmill crowd in March 2007 as a member of The Little Flames – opening two nights in a row for Arctic Monkeys on their triumphant hometown return.

Taking place on Friday 27th June, tickets for the final gig will be limited to only 900 and go on sale Friday 6th June at 10am from The Leadmill website.

Miles has been a cherished friend of The Leadmill for well over a decade. After the support he has shown us throughout our eviction campaign and the countless memories of sold-out shows throughout the years, it feels entirely fitting that he joins us one last time to add a remarkable full stop to The Leadmill’s concert history.”

At London’s Royal Albert Hall June 10th 2026

Rufus Wainwright celebrates 20 years of his acclaimed Rufus Does Judy show with a very special date at London’s Royal Albert Hall on June 10th, 2026, Judy Garland’s birthday. Rufus will be backed by a full orchestra under the direction of Stephen Oremus for what promises to be one of the musical highlights of next year! This will be the last time Rufus will ever perform this show in London.

Rufus Does Judy is undoubtedly one of the most sensational shows from his incredible career, an exhilarating and loving recreation of Judy Garland’s infamous 1961 comeback concert. The show features  over 25 classic songs, some of the greatest songs of the last century including ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’, ‘Almost Like Being In Love’, ‘The Man Who Got Away’, ‘A Foggy Day’ and ‘Zing Went The Strings of My Heart’.

Rufus Does Judy premiered at New York’s Carnegie Hall on June 14th 2006 followed by another sold out performance on June 15th. In top hat and tails, an exuberant Rufus Wainwright was backed by a full orchestra which perfectly complimented his terrific vocals. The following February Rufus brought the show to London with two acclaimed shows at the London Palladium. He also performed the show at London’s Royal Opera House for two nights in 2011.

Rufus is no stranger to the Royal Albert Hall having performed there 9 times throughout his career. This show will be his 10th Royal Albert Hall show.

“”Within the Royal Albert Hall I’ve communed, been given strength and ultimately bidden farewell to my most turbulent artistic emotions, fondly feeling them evaporate into that amazing dome,” Rufus said. “It’s my favorite venue in the world and I can’t wait to “do it again” for the last time. Maybe we’ll stay all night!”

Tickets for the show will be available for pre-sale here at 10:00 BST on the 4th of June.  General on-sale tickets can then be purchased here at 10:00 BST on the 6th of June.

Throughout his astonishing career, Rufus Wainwright has established himself as one of the great male vocalists, songwriters, and composers of his generation. The New York-born, Montreal-raised singer-songwriter has released eleven studio albums to date, three DVDs, and three live albums including the Grammy-nominated Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall.

He has collaborated with artists such as Elton John, Burt Bacharach, Miley Cyrus, David Byrne, Boy George, Joni Mitchell, Pet Shop Boys, Heart, Carly Rae Jepsen, Robbie Williams, Jessye Norman, Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Sting, and producer Mark Ronson, among many others. He has written two operas, a musical and numerous songs for movies and TV.

Taken From Their Cathartic New Album Death & Love Pt.1
Out Jan 31st, 2025 via LOWER THIRD / [PIAS]

The Band’s Biggest Ever UK Headline Tour
Feb/Mar 2025 Tour Includes Shows At London O2 Academy, Brixton – February 26th
& Liverpool Olympia – March 1st

Liverpool’s indie powerhouse Circa Waves have dropped new single ‘Like You Did Before’ – taken from their forthcoming new album Death & Love Pt.1 – out January 31st, 2025 via Lower Third/[PIAS].

The track follows the album’s supreme first offering ‘We Made It’, followed by the topical ‘American Dream’, and channels the 2000s New York scene, serving up a nice big slab of Strokes-y dancefloor destruction. Listen to ‘Like You Did Before’ HERE & watch the video HERE.

Frontman Kieran Shudall says; This song is a reminder of a moment in my life that many people don’t know about. Just before my heart operation lying in hospital when life felt uncertain and fragile, I would imagine myself in a packed sweaty indie club, dancing like my life depended on it. It was a daydream, a form of escape and this song fits perfectly into that vision.”

Circa Waves will return to the road in February & March next year, embarking on their biggest UK headline tour yet, playing to their ever-expanding fanbase. Across 12 dates, they’ll play to thousands of fans across the UK, including a night at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on March 26th and what will be a truly special, final night hometown show at Liverpool’s Olympia March 1st. Tickets available here.

Both terrifying and liberating to write, Death & Love Pt.1 is an urgent, 9-track hit of cathartic guitar-pop, serving as a powerful coping mechanism to help process frontman Kieran Shudall’s near-death experience.

Back in early 2023, Kieran received a call from doctors to say that the main artery in his heart was severely blocked. Two days later, he was lying on an operating table watching a wire being inserted into his heart to fix it. What followed was the cancelling of a lot of shows, working out a lot of medication, and most crucially, now having to navigate a new way of life.

And the results are quite simply stunning. Self-produced by Kieran, and engineered by Matt Wiggins (Adele, Lana Del Rey, Glass Animals), the nine tracks that make up Death & Love Pt.1 ooze nostalgia, and hark back to the sounds and themes that made Shudall want to pick up a guitar in the very first place.

Circa Waves was formed in Liverpool in May 2013 by Kieran Shudall. After writing a batch of songs and putting some demos online, he recruited second guitarist Joe Falconer, bassist Sam Rourke, and drummer Sian Plummer (replaced by Colin Jones in 2015).

The band first gained a buzz and earned favourable comparisons to the Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, and the Vaccines before they hit the Top Ten with their debut, 2015’s Young Chasers. Buoyed by singles like ‘T-Shirt Weather’ and ‘Stuck in My Teeth’, the album reached the Top Ten of the U.K. albums chart and paved the way for a series of well-attended live shows, including a sold-out date at London’s O2 .

Without shying away from their influences, the band matured, and albums like 2017’s Different Creatures, 2019’s What’s It Like Over There? showcase their knack for crafting their own distinctively infectious, post-punk anthems. In 2020, they reached number four on the U.K. albums chart with Sad Happy and returned in 2023 with Never Going Under.

Death & Love Pt.1 is the first instalment of a snapshot in time – a reflection on a moment of true terror, and the joy of coming through the other side. It’s a brave and remarkable next step for a band in the finest form of their career.

Part of a spate of career-affirming milestones, Unreal Unearth outsold the entire UK Top 5 combined in its release week in August 2023 and also scored the top spot in Ireland.

That was then followed by the release of two EPs of tracks originally recorded for Unreal Unearth. Part 1 saw Unheard EP, featuring subsequent first-ever UK number 1 single Too Sweet’, which beat both Beyoncé & Benson Boone and has clocked up a huge 1.6 billion global streams already, and was nominated for Best Alternative Song at the VMA’s. Then came Unaired EP, containing three more unreleased songs, including the powerful ‘Nobody’s Soldier’.

Debut Album Dancing At The Edge Of The World
Out January 31st, 2025 On Modern Sky Records

2025 UK Headline Tour Announced

Plays London’s Lafayette April 10th & Huge Hometown Date at Glasgow’s Barrowland April 19th

“A future megastar” – The Guardian

“Scottish indie star-in-waiting already mingling with the greats” – NME
“A stunning slice of soul”Telegraph
“Megastar in-the-making” The Line Of Best Fit

Following picking up the ‘Play Next’ award at this year’s Rolling Stone UK Awards, one of Scotland’s most exciting artists Brooke Combe releases her superb new single ‘This Town’. The track is the latest cut to be taken from her intoxicating debut album Dancing At The Edge Of The World, which comes January 31st, 2025 on Modern Sky Records.

The album’s opener, ‘This Town’ bursts in on a flurry of percussion and a jangling electric guitar riff. A vibrant blend of strings and percussion sit under a rejection of goldfish-bowl living in her hometown. Spice boys, Saturday nights and being stuck in the scene – it’s a state of mind Brooke runs from powerfully with signature talent and humour.

Shot in Brooke’s hometown of Dalkeith and directed by Sam Crowston (The Mysterines, The Lathums), the video for ‘This Town’ shows the essence of what it’s like to grow up in a small Scottish town. “I wanted the video for ‘This Town’ to be as authentic as possible,” Brooke said of the video. “We ended up shooting it where I grew up, went to school and all the other fun things youngsters do growing up. It shows the charm of the town but also the lack of opportunities to do something different from the norm.Watch the video HERE & Listen HERE.

Collaborating with musician and producer James Skelly, best known as the frontman of The Coral, Brooke’s debut album, Dancing At The Edge Of The World is the perfect opening statement, showing a tantalising first look at the artist she will become. Redolent of those first offerings from Michael Kiwanuka and Corinne Bailey Rae, it revels in lush, orchestral arrangements, irresistible rhythms and a voice that could have come right out of Motown.

Throughout the record, Brooke offers listeners a sense of closure but, with it, possibilities –  as though with the closing of one door, myriad others are opening to the sound of her voice. Dancing At The Edge Of The World is a resounding, indisputable opening salvo from Britain’s newest and brightest star.

Known for her captivating live shows, Brooke will kick off a nine date run of dates at Norwich Arts Centre on April 4th, culminating with Brooke’s biggest headline show to date at Glasgow’s Barrowland on Saturday April 19th. Tickets for the dates are available HERE.

“20 years ago my life as an artist took shape when my first record was released,” Martha recalls. “In many ways that record defined me, as well as launched me into a now over 20 year long career that has made me who I am. It was after 10 years of playing in bars, making cassettes and EPs to sell at my shows, singing backup for my brother Rufus, falling in love and out of love, practising, writing, singing until I could barely sing anymore, partying, playing with musicians and listening to great artists, working with my ex-husband in the studio for 2 years, all that created this first record.”

“20 years later, with 6 other albums under my belt, 2 kids and a career that is chugging along, I can safely say my first record paved my way forward. On March 21st we will release the record on vinyl for the first time ever as well as digitally release unheard songs, outtakes and early material from that 10 year period of discovery that led to my first record. There will be a tour with a few great musicians, where I’ll play the record in its entirety as well as a few new songs- there’s no 48 year old me with the 28 year old me.”

Lost In Blue’

Listen HERE // Watch HERE

Nov/Dec UK Tour with Paul Heaton

Rianne Downey releases the intoxicating ‘Lost In Blue’ via Run On Records – November 22nd, the first taste from her eagerly anticipated debut album. Listen HERE & watch HERE.

A country tinged, dreamy but upbeat charmer, Rianne calls the song ‘a sad girl anthem’ and who doesn’t love those!

“I was claiming my identity back after losing it to this toxic situationship,” she says.

It’s been quite the year for the Scottish singer-songwriter currently on tour with Paul Heaton. Having joined Heaton’s band last summer, she’s been a mainstay ever since.

One of the undoubted highlights for Rianne this year was their sensational Glastonbury Pyramid Stage set. Since then she’s been working on her debut album at Bear Creek Studio in Seattle with Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Zach Bryan, Vance Joy).

Rianne Downey kick started her career busking the streets of Glasgow, before lockdown covers led to signing to Modern Sky/Run On, with Rianne then moving to Liverpool in 2022 to step things up.

Her first studio exploits were with The Coral’s James Skelly, who produced Fuel to The Flame EP, followed by the release of a series of impressive singles and Eps throughout 2022 and 2023 and honed her live performances supporting The Coral, Paolo Nutini, Tom Jones & Deacon Blue.

Later this month Rianne embarks on a nationwide UK tour with Paul Heaton.

Last month she appeared on the top 5 Paul Heaton album The Mighty Several. Next summer Rianne joins Paul for his massive sold out show at Bramall Lane, home to Sheffield United.

Clearly Rianne Downey is a star very much in the ascendency. Catch the glow now.

New Single ‘For Sale Sign’ out Thursday November 21st

Today viral indie harmony trio Tiny Habits release their new song, ‘For Sale Sign,’ featuring Lizzy McAlpine. The track is the third song they’ve recorded together since Tiny Habits performed with Lizzy for her Tiny Desk concert in 2022 and follows the Habits’ feature on Lizzy’s song earlier this summer, ‘Pushing it Down and Praying,’ and their feature together on JP Saxe’s song ‘Everything Ends.’

A warm, wistful acoustic track about the space and memories that people leave behind when they leave this life, ‘For Sale Sign’ also marks Tiny Habits’ first release since their debut album All for Something which was released in May via Mom+Pop. The album earned Tiny Habits the title of “my new favorite group” from NPR Music’s Ann Powers, along with praise from Teen Vogue, V Magazine, an NME cover, and more. Listen to ‘For Sale Sign’ HERE.

In her Tape Notes interview last week, Lizzy said of Tiny Habits: “I’m obsessed with them… they’re able to elicit some really complex emotions with the things they come up with.”

Speaking of the track the band said the below –

“’For Sale Sign’ has lived with us for a while now and we’d been hoping for the right time and circumstances to put it into the world. It means a lot to us and reminds us about how special life is and just how lucky we are to live it. We’re so happy to release it into the world and hope it can sweetly hold its listeners for just a few moments.” – Cinya Khan.

We wrote ‘For Sale Sign’ a few years ago and I really hoped one day it would make it out into the world. It’s a very special song for us, and I remember feeling really moved by it when we wrote it, so I’m very excited for the world to finally be able to listen.” – Maya Rae.

“‘For Sale Sign’ is so special to us, and I’m very excited it is finally out of the vault and being shared with the rest of the world. This song really gave us a new perspective on writing and challenged our storytelling. I’m still constantly moved by this song and so grateful for the experience of writing it. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.” – Judah Mayowa.

This year, after runs opening for Noah Kahan and Gracie Abrams, Tiny Habits played their first-ever major headlining tour throughout North America and Europe. They had a prime slot during Lollapalooza, featured on a track with Kacey Musgraves, and made their Radio City Hall debut alongside Vance Joy. They just wrapped that tour, as well as a run with Lake Street Dive, and are about to embark on their first headline dates in Australia at the end of the month (dates HERE).

Headline Date At Colours London – November 23rd

Announced As Part Of The Great Escape’s First Fifty

Following the release of her latest EP Cause For Concern, as well as supporting Corinne Bailey Rae at Somerset House, rising star Ashaine White has dropped a stunning taste of brand new music in ‘I Sing To Myself’.

Produced by Gilberto Mallindine-Bettini at 5dB Studios, ‘I Sing to Myself’ is Ashaine White in all her glory. A simply beautiful, stripped back track, the new single shoulders the weight of the world whilst serving as a soothing, musical relief to the backdrop of global turmoil. Listen HERE & watch the video HERE.

As Ashaine describes; “‘I Sing To Myself’ was written in a moment where I literally couldn’t take in anymore suffering. I felt like I had reached a limit, with housing struggles in a cost of living crisis, the cost of basic necessities and a looming election weighing down, wars, genocides and poverty on every slide of social media. I needed a sense of calm within the turbulence – out poured this song. I hope it inspires people to also find their sense of calm in unprecedented times.”

The song arrives ahead of Ashaine’s upcoming headline date at London’s Colours on November 23rd (tickets available HERE) and as she is proudly announced as one of The Great Escape’s First Fifty

Featuring her previous singles ‘White Flag’, the epic ‘Brace Yourself’ and the eerily captivating acoustic number ‘Hotel’, Cause For Concern was the work of one of the UK’s finest and brightest young talents.

And now, with the arrival of ‘I Sing To Myself’, Ashaine is a force to be reckoned with. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for one of the brightest new artists around.
