Following the release of his acclaimed top 10 album ‘Coup De Grace’ and a massive sell-out UK tour last year, amidst playing a string of UK and European festivals this summer, Miles Kane today releases his latest single, ‘Can You See Me Now’ via AWAL.
With an infectiously fuzzy guitar riff, Beatles-esque harmonies and Miles’ signature sassy vocals, ‘Can You See Me Now’ is an immediate indie-rock smash. The video, directed by James Kelly (who also directed Miles’ video for ‘LA Five Four (309)’), was shot whilst Miles was on tour in France and Italy in May and sees Miles swaggering in his comfort zone, on the stage. Speaking of the track Miles said, “This is a song about reaching a point in your life when you feel comfortable in yourself and you’re not afraid to shout about it.”
After a huge headline date at Glasgow’s SWG3, Miles and his band play a host of shows and festivals this summer including slots at Isle of Wight Festival, Rock Werchter, Tramlines, Neighbourhood Festival, Y Not Festival, Kendal Calling and headlining Skeleton Coast Festival, as well as supporting Paul Weller at Cardiff Castle.

Last Wednesday Serge Pizzorno (aka The S.L.P.) previewed insanely good tracks from his forthcoming solo project and chatted to pal Noel Fielding about its inception. More news from Serge later this month.

Scotland’s finest, the Snuts, just announced a headline tour for later this year including a London show at the Scala. Reaction to their explosive debut single ‘All Your Friends’ has been sensational.
Also paying a visit to the Scala is Mark Ronson on June 25th, following the release of his acclaimed forthcoming album ‘Late Night Feelings’ – expect a few Glastonbury bound guests to join him that night.
Rickie Lee Jones dropped the politically charged video for her track ‘Nagasaki’ on Friday. Watch HERE the tracks comes ahead of her new album ‘Kicks’, out June 28th. She will also be gracing the stage of Glastonbury Festival this month.

Dido just finished the European leg of her ‘Still On My Mind’ tour, her first for 15 years and the Roundhouse show was a sonically charged night of wonderful sounds old and new. She tours the US next month and is back on UK soil for more shows later this year.

We are delighted to share his first new music in four years with the stunning ‘Astronaut’ (listen here), as he takes a break from his legendary punk band Alexisonfire, and sets his sights on releasing a sixth studio album later this year.
Out September 20th New Track ‘The Way I Feel’ Out Now
After months of speculation, Keane, one of Britain’s most beloved bands are back with a brand new album out September 20th on Island Records and featuring the powerful first single ‘The Way I Feel’. Watch the video HERE.
Written by Keane and produced by David Kosten and the band themselves, ‘Cause and Effect’ features 11 new songs recorded in London and Sussex.
Keane have also announced a major UK tour this autumn including two nights at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall. The band will play a series of festivals this summer including BST in Hyde Park on July 14th.
‘Cause and Effect’ is Keane’s 5th studio album. Their 4 previous albums have all entered the UK charts at number 1 and accumulated sales of over 13m worldwide and 2.6 billion streams.
The birth of this new album came as something of a surprise even to the band. Singer Tom Chaplin had released two successful solo albums but missed his old sparring partner Tim Rice-Oxley. “I found myself wondering how I had come to let this very enigmatic and important relationship in my life drift,” Tom says.
Meanwhile Tim found his life falling apart and from the ashes had written an album’s worth of incredibly personal songs fuelled by humour as well as pain. When Tom, bassist Jesse Quin and drummer Richard Hughes heard the songs, they were immediately drawn to them both sonically and lyrically.
“Hopes and Fears was a break-up album too, but it was about a break-up when I was 19,” Tim explains. “It’s a bit different when you’re older and you’ve got kids – your whole little world shifts on its axis.”
Tickets for Keane’s tour go on sale on Friday 14th June
They play the following dates:
September
Tues 24th BIRMINGHAM, Symphony Hall
Wed 25th LEICESTER, De Montfort Hall
Thu 26th MANCHESTER, Apollo
Sat 28th LONDON, Royal Albert Hall
Sun 29th LONDON, Royal Albert Hall
October
Tues 1st NEWCASTLE, City Hall
Wed 2nd EDINBURGH, Usher Hall
Fri 4th NOTTINGHAM, Royal Concert Hall
Sat 5th BRIGHTON, Brighton Centre
Mon 7th BELFAST, Waterfront
Tues 8th DUBLIN, Olympia
The video for ‘The Way I Feel’ was directed by Kevin Godley, who previously directed the video for the band’s hit single ‘Is It Any Wonder’ and Tom’s solo release ‘Still Waiting’.
‘The Way I Feel’, like the other ten tracks on ‘Cause and Effect’, is an emotional and remarkable slice of life, and reminiscent of the very best of Keane. It’s an exciting period for one of the country’s best bands and a very welcome return.
As Tim Rice-Oxley says, “We’re not some heritage act. We’ve got a lot of great music in us.” ‘Cause and Effect’ is just that.

Huge Run of Festivals This Summer
One of the UK’s finest rising bands, The Snuts, today release their explosive new single ‘All Your Friends’ on Parlophone Records. Choosing to work with Inflo (Karen O / Danger Mouse, Michael Kiwanuka, Little Simz) the track throws the rulebook out the window creating a fresh, yet authentic first taste of the West Lothian quartet’s debut album, which the band are currently recording.
Driven by a huge slice of rock ‘n roll swagger, fused with a vintage hip-hop backbeat, ‘All Your Friends’ possesses an irresistibly catchy raw edge and a massive chorus. The video, directed by Ronan Corrigan and Hope Kemp, has both the humour and charm of long gone classics as the band are literally caught up in a shopping channel TV advert fuelled by their much loved Buckfast.
Watch the video for ‘All Your Friends’HERE
Speaking of the track Jack Cochrane explains “Reflected in the lyrics and the artwork ‘All Your Friends’ is new twist on a familiar social stigma around the drug epidemic that nobody seems to want to talk about”. He continues “keeping in tune with the passionate tones of The Snuts this is a rawer, more direct addition to the catalogue.”
Already garnering a massive following in Scotland and across the UK and with support from the likes of BBC 6 Music, Radio 1, Clash and Dork Magazine, The Snuts are set for a massive 2019 with new music, touring and a fine selection of festivals.
The Snuts, famed for their kinetic live shows, will support Lewis Capaldi on his November UK dates and play a host of summer festivals including Isle of Wight Festival, Mad Cool, Reading & Leeds Festival, Y Not Festival and a main stage, homecoming performance at TRNSMT. Kasabian mastermind Serge Pizzorno takes a break from his day job with an incredibly exciting new track featuring Little Simz. ‘Favourites’ is an explosive, song that is dangerously addictive.
With music by Serge and lyrics by Serge and Little Simz, ‘Favourites’ is a breath of fresh air and the good news is, it’s just the first taste of a new side project destined to please fans old and new. ‘Favourites’ had its world premiere last night on Radio 1 as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record.
The S.L.P – as it is called – is a new project by Serge Lorenzo Pizzorno, Kasabian’s guitarist and songwriter. This debut solo album created during a one year hiatus from Kasabian, sees Pizzorno channel his artistic instinct to create an exciting and unexpected updated self-portrait.
“’Favourites’ is about identity in the digital age,” Serge says. “I was interested in how online dating is a sort of snapshot of this identity crisis. Through the speed and structure of the song, I wanted to capture the feeling of the real you inside your head trying to get out and escape during a first date. It’s a dialogue between two people who are coming to terms with their true selves through their digital interaction becoming a physical one.”
As for Little Simz, Serge admits this hot UK rapper “completely blew me away”. He continues: “It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, make music with hip hop or grime artists.”
Stay tuned for more music and some live action shortly.

April 2019
It’s been another exciting month at MBC towers, and we’ve got even more to be shouting from the rooftops about as we look to dive head first into the summer!
We welcome back Madonna as she globally unveiled the video for her poptastic new track ‘Medellin’ ft. Columbian superstar Maluma, on MTV this week. It’s the first taste of her new album Madame X out June 14th. More Madonna news to follow so watch this space!!!!
We also give a big warm welcome back to Mark Ronson, who announced his new album, ‘Late Night Feelings’ for June 21st. This collection of ‘sad bangers’ features collabs with Miley Cyrus, Camila Cabello, Lykke Li, Alicia Keys & more. Last night Mark took his Club Heartbreak to Ladbroke Grove for a DJ set with Romy (xx). Lily Allen was among the crowd. Mark and Lykke Li perform new single ‘Late Night Feelings’ tomorrow night on the Jonathan Ross Show.
Without doubt, 2019 has been a breakout year for Lewis Capaldi. After celebrating a whopping 7 weeks atop the charts, the UK’s biggest single this year has propelled him to become one of the first artists to ever sell out a UK arena tour before the release of a debut album, out next month.
Jack Savoretti has so far sold 70,000 copies of his #1 album ‘Singing to Strangers’ Jack kicks off his UK tour next month ending at London’s Wembley Arena on May 31st. We also can’t not mention his exquisite volley into the top bins on Soccer AM. Baggio-esque!

A big MBC “hello” to shey baba whose debut album ‘Requiem’ is out May 10th on Virgin EMI. The exciting new LA songwriter, who’s just joined our family, is doing the ‘release thing’ a little differently with stunning double A-sides and an utterly captivating 15-minute film with cinematography from James Laxton – Academy Award nominated for his work on Moonlight and If Beale Street Could Talk.
Winning Voice coach and all round superstar Olly Murs kicks off his massive UK tour next Wednesday in Aberdeen. He plays two eagerly anticipated nights at London’s 02 May 17th and 18th. All the hits and more!!
If you’re not watching Liverpool v Huddersfield tonight, try and catch alt country star Ryan Bingham at the Union Chapel. Back of the net!
Rickie Lee Jones releases her newest collection of songs from the great American songbook, ‘Kicks’, June 7th on her own label, OSOD through Thirty Tigers. The album spans two decades (50s-70s) of pop, rock and jazz, presenting her unique and sophisticated interpretations of these classic songs.
The infectious lead track ‘Lonely People’, was originally a 1974 Top Five Billboard hit and is available as an instant grat with the purchase of the pre-release of the album.
Rickie Lee Jones is that rare musician who has transcended the singer/songwriter mantle by incorporating different radio genres from the get-go and she continues that tradition on the new album.
She will tour the USA for most of June and plans are being made for a UK live show this summer.
It is fitting that one of the American treasures of songwriters should be comfortable with this diverse collection of the great songwriters of the 20th century–she is one of them. On ‘Kicks’, she brings emotion to sleeper album tracks like “My Fathers Gun” and her tongue-in-cheek humour to songs like “Houston.”
Weaving the connection between 70’s rock and 50’s jazz was no leap for Jones. “It is all part of what I heard growing up,” says Jones. “The radio played everything! 1960’s AM radio was the primordial zone for our musical life today. As a kid I heard R&B, country, rock, and the most sophisticated singer-songwriters of the day forming their genre. Radio was a college education for a budding musician because these songs are all playing on my internal radio all the time, it’s not a stretch for me to put them together on an LP. Really, I just love to sing.
‘Kicks’ was created entirely in New Orleans, using local musicians, mixers and studios. Produced by Rickie Lee Jones with her band-mate, vibraphonist Mike Dillion, it features 10 songs of a highly infectious nature. Check out “Nagasaki,” her traditional jazz offering of tight three-part harmonies, and “Bad Company,” where Jones cuts loose on electric guitar.
The album cover, by artist Peregrine Honig, is a super-hero woman in boxing gloves. Sound like anyone we know? Rickie Lee Jones, superhero, with a super weapon smile! “In times like these,” Miss Jones smiles, “a smile can be subversive. Here is Rickie Lee’s musical smile.”
Tracklisting:
1. Bad Company (Bad Company, 1974)
2. My Fathers Gun (Elton John, 1970)
3. Lonely People (American, 1974)
4. Houston (Sanford Clark, 1964; made famous by Dean Martin, 1965)
5. You’re Nobody ‘Till Somebody Loves You (Russ Morgan, 1944; made famous by Dean Martin, 1960/1964)
6. Nagasaki (Ipana Troubadours, 1928; most famous by Benny Goodman Quartet, 1952)
7. Mack The Knife (Louis Armstrong, 1956; made famous by Bobby Darin, 1958)
8. Quicksilver Girl (Steve Miller Band, 1968)
9. End OF The World (Skeeter Davis, 1962)
10. Cry (Ruth Casey, 1951; made famous by Johnnie Ray and the Four Lads, 1951)
NOV/DEC UK HEADLINE TOUR
*Sold Out In Under A Minute*
Incl. London, O2 Academy Brixton – November 29th
Further UK dates supporting Ed Sheeran & The Killers
2019 continues to be the year of Lewis Capaldi. Breaking records and capturing the nation, his eagerly awaited debut album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent is out May 17th on Virgin EMI. Lewis will also embark on his biggest ever UK headline tour which sold out in under a minute, including a night at London’s O2 Academy Brixton, as well as festival dates and support shows across the summer with Ed Sheeran and The Killers.
Recorded over an 18 month period across London, New York & L.A., Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent is an ironically titled, but charismatically defining album that’s lyrically candid and an accurate snapshot into the ups and downs of growing up. Consisting of recordings that capture the charm & feeling of how they were originally written, including hit UK singles ‘Grace’, Bruises’ & ‘Someone You Loved’, Lewis’ stunningly identifiable voice, coupled with its turbulent themes of love, loss and heartache, make it a debut record that is unequivocally relatable.
Since debut track ‘Bruises’ exploded online in 2017, Capaldi has been able to boast incredibly rare markers in his still fledgling career. The young Scot, whose incredible humour sets him apart from fellow heartbreak songwriters, has already bagged a UK Number 1 platinum-selling single with ‘Someone You Loved’, which has sat at #1 for six weeks, making it the biggest UK single of the year and one of the longest running #1 singles of the past 25 years. An extraordinary feat for an artist who continues to smash through boundaries at an alarming rate.
Lewis has also achieved successive Radio 1 A-List tracks, sold over 150,000 headline show tickets, enlisted the music video acting services of ex-Dr Who star Peter Capaldi, amassed over 600 million plays across streaming services & has sold out no less than three back-to-back headline tours, with demand outstripping supply at every turn. This all underlined with critical praise, being shortlisted for the 2019 Brits Critics’ Choice award, TV performances on The Jonathan Ross Show & Top Of The Pops, and making both the BBC’s Sound Of 2018 longlist and BBC Radio 1’s Brit List.
His personal achievements haven’t gone unnoticed by his musician peers either, with Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, The Killers, Rag’n’ Bone Man, Bastille & Niall Horan all offering Capaldi support shows to audiences on a gigantic scale. The young 22 year old who only 18 months previous had been plugging-in night-after-night into the local pub gig circuit of Glasgow, will now head out on the road in November to headline some of the countries most notable venues, including London’s O2 Academy Brixton.
2018 was a remarkable year for Lewis Capaldi, and as 2019 rolls on, things continue to get bigger and better. Lewis has taken pairing sad songs with an incredible wit, and a rampant social media following to match, and made it his very own. The results are hilariously beautiful.

Singing in Portuguese, Spanish and English, highlights on the album include “Medellín,” which was co-produced by Mirwais and captures the spirit of Maluma’s hometown, the anthemic song “I Rise,” the Jamaican dancehall vibes of “Future” featuring Quavo, and co-produced by Diplo, as well as the sonically innovative Mirwais produced “Dark Ballet.” Recorded over 18 months in Portugal, London, New York and Los Angeles, Madonna collaborated on Madame X with longtime producer Mirwais, as well as with producers Mike Dean and Diplo, among others.
“Lisbon is where my record was born,” Madonna says. “I found my tribe there and a magical world of incredible musicians that reinforced my belief that music across the world is truly all connected and is the soul of the universe.”
